Fascinating details and beautiful illustrations about the history of plants. Yeah, I know, sounds dry, but it isn't Put out by National Geographic and Mo. Botanical Garden so it's the best of both worlds. Should be in every library! Makes a great gift for anyone with an interest in plants and history. Normally I don't read nonfiction but this is just too good.

Beautifully illustrated compendium on the plants that we have been using for millennia. Includes basic histories, timelines and lots and lots of illustrations. Great resource with interesting research.
Leaflet
Five stars just for the illustrations. Lots of interesting plant factoids.
