So I took Rachel & Ann's lead and randomly picked a book off the library shelf. Seemed like an interesting topic.
This book has inspired me to write a book. Why - because I figure if this guy can get published, my odds are very good.
This reads like a 6th grader wrote it - I think both the writer & editor should be fired. There are very interesting facts embedded in there, but it is very disorganized and hard to read. Several paragraphs and sentences seemed that the More...

This book went back to the library yesterday, unfinished.
I only had 100 pages left, but was unmotivated to finish.
My conclusion is that Mr. Friedman had a very poor editor on this book.
He's an ok writer and his editor just never got his manuscript into shape.
He would spend paragraphs on a subject and then say "yah, but these prominent lightning researchers don't really think that's important".
Leaving me wondering why he included it, which just More...
