I grew up going to the New Yorker Movie Theater, on B'way between 88th and 89th St. More importantly to me, I worked for Pete Martin, when I was a kid, for over a year at the New Yorker Bookstore -- I knew Pete well enough to go into Wilby's with him and his wife and watch him drink and listen to his stories.
