A short, sweet story from Karen Templeton. I enjoy her 'voice' and sense of humor, though the many quips at the beginning of the book had me saying 'enough already'. But she soon stopped and went forward with the story. Nothing earth shattering here. I enjoyed the characters, but wished the heroine would have stopped being a martyr towards the end of the book.

Textbook example of what Karen Templeton excels at writing - nice romances about nice "regular" people. A solid reunion story featuring a couple who were high school sweethearts.

A wonderful story of love, old flames, friends, and family---those you're born into and those you gather around you. Tess, a divorced single mother, and Eli, a bachelor, both have emotional baggage, but their old, high-school attraction has never died. Tess is afraid to love again, fearing she'll be hurt again. Eli, who once loved and was burned, is also afraid, but not for the same reasons. It takes some time for their to work through their pasts, but once they do, they can see their Happily ...more

So much communicating with the eyes in this!
Love how she captures the specialness of pets in this and in previous books. Belly the cat is fun.
I did not make electronic notes..just highlighted in the book as I am collecting all of this author.
Lots of tangled emotions between Tess and Eli--like real life--so an emotional, but wonderfully satisfying, read. Recommended.

A sequel of sorts to Reining In The Rancher. A recently-divorced mother of two hooks up again with her high school sweetheart, creating all sorts of awkwardness until the inevitable conclusion. Nicely done.

Nothing new, plot wise here, but this author is great on what writing experts call Deep Point-of-view - she gets you into her characters heads very quickly, particularly the heroine. Pretty well done.

Good story that plodded right along. The H/h both had lives in the years apart but still had that connection. I liked it but wasn't overwhelmed. I wished the heroine would snap out of it at times. I could read the emotions but never really felt it.

Good reunion story. I particularly liked that the H/H had a life during the years they were apart.
