The dedication in this book reads "I dedicate this book to all of the people who rescue a dog and change its life for the better by giving it a loving home. I rememember all those animals that I have loved and lost and those whose furry, warm bodies I can still stroke today."

Recently my parent got a rescue dog and decided to get a book on a rescue dog, the book has a good insight into the mind of a rescue dog. however the book focus on him in his farm but id reckon most rescue dogs go to houses in cities. Good starting point on getting a rescue dog.
