This book is great for young readers who want a challenge or older readers who want a fun book to read.

AAAHHH!!! these books are sooo good! i'm waiting for the next one and am rereading them until then!
I first read this books when I was in third grade, and then that was it, but last year I re-read them because they were getting dusty on my book shelf. although the first book bored me to tears, the rest had an amazing plot, and I quickly became obsessed with the series again. this series is for people who love a good mystery/fantasy and DRAGONS :D!! however, it can be very confusing, because sometimes the story jumps around a whole lot and leaves you confused. if you read these books, don't sto ...more

Brilliant series.

"The Fire Within" is a bit of a weak start in my opinion, but the plot thickens and the story becomes more and more fascinating with every word from "Icefire" onwards. My favorite thing about this series is the main character- David Rain. He is no hero, but at the same time he ends up doing things that are, indeed, heroic and self-sacrificing. He does have defined and stressed faults, however. He cheats on his girlfriend, he has a child at age 20, he breaks household rules on mo

They were great
the fire within: where is the magic, dragons how can they end up moving, a young man comes to live in a small town college and worked with a small family buisness and find the solution to a little girls mystery
Ice Fire:a great continuous of the story adding polar bears

Fire star:great continuous of the story

the eternal fire: continuing the story, with a lot of emphasis on environmental responsibility, but allows the story to return to the true love story in the center of the whole thing

I enjoyed this book. Chris d'Lacey really knows how to write a book with many twists at the end. Each book had some twist in them that made them want to throw the book down but at the same time continue to read it.

I think that these books are of a major good read i totally reccomend them this book is about a young boy and girl of whom have powers and dragon like craturs really cool right!!!!!
Fire Within = AMAZING!
Ice Fire = GREAT!
The others? A bit of a letdown. I barely scraped through Fire Eternal, and stopped reading the series shortly after. But still, a decent read.
these books were a very creative way to bring a dragon into the real world. the only part i didn't understand was how polar bears fit into the story. i draw dragons of my own.
I really enjoyed this book because it's sort of like the Percy Jackson series because it's modern day mixed with historical fiction.
I will recommend this to anyone who is a fan of dragons, squirrels, polar bears and magic!
