This is a delightful telling of the author and his family's visit to his Uncle Andy's (Andy Warhol) in NYC. It's fun to see the famous artist normalized by his interactions with his junkyard-owning Pittsburgh relatives. James Warhola, incidentally, grew up to be a well-known children's book illustrator with a comparatively conventional life.

This story is about artist Andy Warhol, told by his nephew James. James talks about visiting his uncle in New York and portrays a different side of the artist. There are also great vibrant pictures, and recreations of Warhol-type art. I think you will find this to be "faabbbulous"!

Andy Warhol as seen through the eyes of his young nephew Jamie. Found myself counting children and cats in each picture. Love the detailed illustrations. Fun details about the famous uncle's life, too (love the wigs...).
Tracy
I liked this because Andy Warhol's dad was a junk man, and he thought everything could be used for something. This was a nice view of visiting Uncle Andy by kids who didn't really know their uncle was famous.

This is a great gift to gove to kids (or adults), especially for anyone connected to Pittsburgh. James Warhola recounts a visit to his Uncle Andy Warhol: the house is full of art and wonderful junk.

Beautifully illustrated children's book about James Warhola and his family visiting their famouse uncle Andy Warhol in New York. I loved the attitude to art, family and cats. All were loved and welcomed and accepted as they are.

A very fun take on a familial bond with a famous relative. I love the sense of fun and mischief Mr. Warhola brings to tles of his Uncle Andy. visual juxtapositions are a joy.

Never thought about his having a family... duh.

A great memory of visiting the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. The art is great, but the junk collecting dad is also a favorite part.
Julie
This gives Andy Warhol a more "family feel."
