What a scorcher! Lord, I thought we were going through a heatwave in Southern California this weekend... but I nearly melted off my chair after reading this book.

I initially bought this book because I enjoy the cat and mouse chase, when man goes after the heroine in denial and this one did not fail to deliver.

Sage Miller had a week long tryst with Trent Takoda and it was supposed to only be a one night stand, but she had a hard time resisting Trent's capable hands... leaving him that fateful da...more

First let me preface this review by saying, this book is a short so I get that some details aren't fully developed and the reader is left to fill in the blanks. However, the dialogue became monotonous, which is REALLY unusual for a short, because the author used "What?" as a means to further the dialogue CONSTANTLY. In my humble opinion, the author was just being lazy! I wasn't sure if the characters were stupid or deaf. The premise of the story is that Sage was stalked which resulted in her sist...more
Dangerous Deception by Katie Reus was a fast and fairly good read. Sage & Trent had a hot, yet brief affair before Sage ran away & left Trent in alone in the middle of the night. Fast forward two years later and Sage & Trent meet once again as Sage is working for Trent's brother.

Now that Trent has finally found Sage again, he is not letting her go & is determined to to let her know that. However, complications arise when a stalker from Sage's past tracks her down and Trent is no...more

Short easy read. Pretty good.

Definitely an easy reading. Gah, I love it! :)

Trent is a guy who fell hard for Sage before she left him in the middle of the night. Is not that she wanted to leave him, she had to. And two years later they meet again and this time he won't let her go.

The story went very easy to read and light. It's good one. I love it! Too bad the story's so short. Definitely need more angst, and the way Trent handle the stalker is totally turn off. Need more action and how I wish, at least Sage get hurt just a...more

This is the first book I read by Kate Reus. I finished reading the book in a few hours. It had good storyline & I loved the hot & steamy scenes. I loved how Trent protected Sage even though she tried to push him away. I felt really bad for Sage for the trauma she was going through. I also felt Sage was being to stubborn to Trent when he was helping her. I would definitely read more books by this author.
Sage Miller and Trent Takoda spent a week together two years before. She left him and relocated to North Carolina. Now Trent has found her and doesn't want to let her go. A short quick read. Very hot. Not much in the suspense department but it does play a role.
I really liked this book, it had a nice touch of mystery, danger, action and intense chemistry which is always a good, spicy and fun combination ;) it was a well written book and I can't wait to reread it on a rainy day just to remind myself how good it was :D

This was a short story, but it was packed full of heat. I loved the connection between Trent and Sage. Trent was an awesome piece of dominating male species. I loved how he and Sage clashed when they both just wanted to protect the other.
If it wasn't for the fact that I had to add this book to my Reading Challenge, no way would I admit that I read and finished this craptastic book. God! I'm embarrassed to admit I read this cheap trashy novel.
Dangerous Deception is a quick, steamy, danger-and-romance novella.

I liked the characters, chemistry was good. Storyline and ending a bit abrupt; would have benefited from being a tad longer.
Didn't love this.

At all.

Not even a little bit.
