Eh. This picture book was a bit too sweet for my tastes. Daddy wakes up grumpy, and as his grumpiness continues, he turns into a bear. His son takes care of them, and they have a great day. Ah. So sweet. Gag. It's a cute story about being with Dad, awash in all kinds of pastels. (However, check out what baby's reaching for on page 4.)
There's quite a bit to talk about storytelling-wise with a group of preschoolers - lots of playing with colors and shadows and transformations, plenty of action - and it's a funny story.
A cute book about a dad that turns into a grizzly bear that his kids have a blast with. But when mom comes home they need to clean up the house.
Fun story of a dad who wakes up in a bearish mood. Art is just average, but story is fun!
