Seth's luck sucks. His boyfriend leaves him, he's alone for the holidays, and now he's in the ER after falling off a roof onto a stack of lobster traps. But maybe his luck is changing...the guy with the tweezers is Hot Dr. Reindeer Antlers. Surely it's a sign!

A kid and a dog, gosh, how can I NOT love this story :). It's really good and sweet -- I mean, it starts with a hot doctor wearing raindeer antlers :p. I like the way both characters work on their instant attraction but not jumping quickly to declaration of love. Again, add a kid and a dog, this one is a winner

More a 1.5

If you’re looking for a quick HEA Christmas fic this might be for you.

For me it was just way to fast.. I know shorts don’t leave a lot of room for build up, but the speed that this fic takes is supersonic.

The instant attraction I can understand, but everything else was just too neat and compartmentalized for me. Including the way we get a walk on part by the evil bitch Ex and a random nurse running in just to let us know Seth is rich? Maybe if you took out the kid and just had this as

Seth McAllister is having a serious string of bad luck. His boyfriend of seven months, Jonathan, broke up with him. Over the phone. From Hawaii. With Seth's ex-personal trainer. Seth will now be spending Christmas alone and with a huge dinner all to himself. And to top it all off, on Christmas Eve Seth is in the ER having slivers of wood pulled out of his back after falling off a roof into a pile of antique wooden lobster traps. Definitely not good. But not everything is bad as a super hot docto ...more

Seth is dumped some days before Christmas on the phone. It's not a good start to face Christmas alone, above all since Seth was planning to spend Christmas with his lover. To add physical pain to the emotional, Seth has a stupid accident the day before Christmas and he is now in the ER... but maybe not all is bad as it seems, since the nice doctor who is tending him is also handsome and funny, with his fake reindeer antlers on his head. But while Seth is wondering how to approach the man, a nast ...more

3.5. The Christmas part of the story was nice, but Susan, the ex, was so over the top. Because the story is short, there isn't a lot of time for past history, but to mention she drugged Noah to have sex and then got pregnant, show how completely vile she is (she not only slaps Noah while he's at work, but she punches him in the face as well), and then realize Noah allows his son to spend unsupervised him with her? That ripped me out a little bit. I did love Brady, who at times was so beyond his ...more

Thanks to Ami's review I read this one!

It was so, so cute:
1) Christmas! I love Christmas and I love Christmas stories!
2) Two guys who have the hots for each other, one a doctor, one a carpenter.
3) A kid and a dog. OMG awesomeness!

I totally enjoyed reading it! :)
Wow! There is a serious breach of medical ethics that begins this short story (at one point with the doc's son present) that I just couldn't push out of my mind. And the bitch caricature of the mom? Yeah, just didn't work for me.

Cute story about Seth boyfriend broke up with him. Can his life get worser then fallen from a roof wooden splinters on his back meets a hot doctor . Maybe his Christmas Day might get better .

She's also named her car Blue, but that's neither here nor there. While she hopes to one day be able to support herself by writing full time, she keeps herself fed with various customer service jobs, the ...more
