Only the second comic I've read in my life, and all because it was the only Star Trek one in the library. I did not expect the depth in the "Trial of James T. Kirk." Where we see so many characters' hearts laid bare: Sarek seeking the meaning of friendship from his son, Scotty sharing his sense of loss at the grave of his nephew, Uhura have epic girl talk with Kirk's current love interest, and last but not least, we see at long last the consequences of so many of Kirk's adventures and how striki ...more
