Jika kaki punya otak, tentu dia akan menyambut lumpur dengan baik

Duh, tadinya pengen ngegenapin buku ke-8500 yang dibaca pas 20thn dg buku yg lebih 'manusiawi' dan ringan. Tapi pas mendekati hari-hari terakhir menjelang hari-H, diliat semua buku dikostan tuh pada tebel2. gak bisa diajak maraton. padahal masih ada 12 lg menuju angka 8500. alhasil, dibacalah komik2 dan yah.. buku ini :D

well, buku ini merekam jejak pemikiran cemerlang para filsuf 3 milenium terakhir. mulai dari Thales dari Miletus

We can learn a lot from many inspiring quotes or words of wisdom from those philosophers, for example:
1. The good life in one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. Bertrand Russell (1872-1970)
2. Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind. Immanuel Kant (1724-1804)
3. There are times when even to live is an act of bravery. Lucius Annaeus Seneca (c. 4 BCE-65CE), etc.

Shelves: philosophy
Fascinating snippets from two and a half millenia of great philosophers, with short introductions. A good starting point for those of us too terrified by full-length philosophical treatises
