I actually thought DANCE WITH A VAMPIRE, book four of the VAMPIRE KISSES series, was going to be the last one. So I was overjoyed to find out that the story of Raven and Alexander continues in THE COFFIN CLUB.

It is now summer vacation and Raven is missing Alexander. At the end of the last book, Alexander and his caretaker, Jameson, left Dullsville for Hipsterville to return the young Valentine to his family, leaving Raven all alone....more

This was probably the worst book I’ve read this year, which is a real disappointment because I’ve heard that it’s really popular with teen vampire fans and I was thinking of purchasing the series for our YA collection here at the library. The dialogue is stifling, the writing is filled with clichés, and the teen heroine Raven is just plain dumb. I know that teens are often impulsive, risk takers, but Raven puts the hardiest X-game athletes to shame with the hazards in which she becomes involved....more

I really really loved this series... It was really interesting to see the different veiws on vampires.. That I already knew about like the Marked Vampyres and the Twilight Vampires... But it is a really good book so far.... Well this book is about Raven going to this city and trying to find her boyfriend Alexander... Who went to the city to give Jager his little brother back... Well it has been a few days and Raven is getting worried... So she goes and visits her aunt again and finds out the Ale...more

Okay. So . . .
so... Lol. And to be honest, I'm still struggling trying my best not to laugh while I give my personalized review on this title.
But before anything else, I'd like to say that- I should have given this book a 5-star rating if not for Raven's attitude of being so stupid!~sometimes :P
hell Yeah, she became a real headache and mental disaster this time around!! But of course, she's still far from the most annoying swan in the YA world. And don't get me wrong, I hones...more

School is out for the summer and Raven finds herself missing Alexander more than ever. So, she decides to call her Aunt Libbey in "Hipsterville" and ask if she can come for a visit. Much to her surprise, Aunt Libbey is now working in real estate and recently rented a manor to a creepy old gentleman. Of course, Raven recognizes that description and goes off to find Alexander. He is surprised to see her but also glad. Raven wants to leave for

Surprisingly better than the previous Vampire Kisses novels. The storyline is just waay better and a shocking twist at the end! ( well, I don't know about you guys but I wasn't expecting it :o)I think I've taken a little bit of a liking to Raven. Before, she was completely crazy about Alexander. Im talking about OBSESSED!! O_o Now I'm self assured that she doesn't spend her whole day dreaming about him. Alexander's starting to grow on me as well; Sure he seems impeccably flawless but hey, a boy ...more

Raven heads to Hipsterville to find Alexander and leave with him back to Dullsville only to discover a real vampire club called the Dungeon owned by Jagger beneath the wanna-be vamp scene, the Coffin Club. She continually visits it against Alexander’s wishes making new friends Onyx and Scarlett and witnessing the differences of plans for the Dungeon’s future as Jagger used the vampire way of signaling a mass of them by forming a crop circle in order to gain more members so they could eventually ...more

School is out! Alexander took off leaving Raven at Dullsville. it's not what you think, he took off to bring his nemesis young brother back to him. But being Raven she had to see Alexander, so she set off to have a summer at her Aun Libby's place back in Hipsterville. Drawn to this Gothic bar named Coffin Club she decided to visit it once more. Two things: to see if Jagger is still in town and to belong. It was her dream club only she discovered something much more underground- or should I say u...more

The fifth book in the Vampire Kisses series finds Raven back at The Coffin Club. She has returned to Hipsterville to visit her Aunt Libby and to find Alexander who has not returned as soon as he promised from delivering Valentine to his family. She finds Alexander and she also discovers that The Coffin Club has changed. It's not just a club for goth kids anymore; there is an underground club for real vampires. I love this series, it seems to have an "immature" aspect to it, but it's also beautifully written. I agree, this one would have to be my favourite, it really focused on Alexander and Raven as a couple. I also found it really cool how she found the Underground, and the references back to how she felt back in her high school. I really do hope that there will be another book in this series, does anyone know for sure? However, if there is not one, then this was a good ending, a little cli...more

(Review for Books 1-8)

I decided to review all eight of these books together, as I pretty much read them all back to back and I don't think I would be able to go back and review them all individually.

Firstly, this is a series that I had known about for a while, but wasn't really too sure what the books were about. Going from the titles it's obvious that they are about vampires, but apart from that I hadn't really looked into them too much. One day in December, bored I deci...more

Another great book in the Vampire Kisses series. This is book #5 and centers around Raven's summer out of school between sophomore and junior year. Alexander has had to move away temporarily and Raven makes plan to stay with her Aunt in Hipsterville where Alexander is. Come to find out there are mysterious goings-on related to the "Coffin Club" and Raven finds out how the mysterious crop circles and the purpose of the "new club" in the club with "lifetime membership only...more

Wow, this one was so good! The twist in this book caught me way off guard. In fact after I finished the book, I went back and reread all the parts where Raven was in the Coffin Club. So cool, I loved it. Alexander's cool points went way up in this book. I like thinking of him as a bad boy. My favorite line of the book was the last one.

Then he licked his lips and flashed his fangs and grinned. "For eternity."

I loved that. I often forget he is a vampire beca...more

I have been critical about book 2, 3, and 4. I really enjoyed book 5. I realized that even though these books aren't as exciting as some books I have read they are good clean books. With two characters that are very kind and caring people. This book teaches that looks can be deceiving you have a goth girl and a goth vampire boy on the outside most people might be scared but they are both kind people. I don't recall there being any profanity in the books. They are clean books I wouldn't be ...more

This was a decent book, but Schreiber seems to having some trouble with English grammar and it's starting to show. This being the fifth or sixth book in a matter of weeks that has had this problem, I'm rather irritated. If the author and/or editors don't get their act together on this, I'm going to stop reading these books, and I won't count it a great loss. And point of fact: The sentence "I was suspect" only applies when someone else suspects you of whatever; it does not apply whe...more

I really enjoyed this installment of Vampire Kisses. Raven goes to Hipsterville to surpise her vampire boyfriend, Alexander and spend the summer with him (and her Aunt Libby). While there she goes to the Coffin Club again and finds that it has changed and there is an Underground Club just for vampires! Raven finds herself in the Underground World, she meets friends and is accepted for who she is.
I like how Raven and Alexander's relationship is developing. I am looking forward to seein...more

The Coffin Club is a book about a girl named Raven. She is sixteen through seventeen years old. She is a goth girl, different from everyone else in her town. This takes place in a town called Dullsville. Her main internal struggle is that she doesn't know if she's ready to become a vampire. Her main external struggle is that Alexander isn't ready to go back to Dullsville.

During my time reading this book I made a text-to-text conenction. When Alexander leaves that reminds me of when...more

OMG, when I finished this book, I was awed. There's a secret that you won't even be close to uncovering while reading the book. I'm serious when i say that in the end my heart sped up. The book was byfar the best in the series, there are a lot of places where you're confused to how Raven will escape, you might think its impossible, but when she does escape it will be very relieving and amazing. Read this book! its enthralling and unique, it will give you a world that you will love to read about ...more

This is the fifth novel in the popular Vampire Kisses series by Ellen Schreiber. It focuses on a goth girl named Raven and her desire to become a creature of the night. When Alexander moves into the creepy mansion in her home of Dullsville all of her dreams suddenly seem possible. Overall the series is something of a gothic fairy tale where happy endings undoubtedly exist and vampires are just misunderstood. And honestly, what’s wrong with that?

In this installment, Hipsterville’s vam...more
