Not nearly as charming as Audrey, A New Girl unfortunately, despite the book playing with some of my favourite tropes (girls dresses up as boy, girl denounces 'feminine' spaces/activities only to be proven wrong etc.) It's not as amusing and Lloyd plays it much more straight in this one compared to Audrey's arch commentary on the school story genre.
