An exquisite Sufi Tafsir of three surahs in the Al-Qur'an, translated into English. My Arabic is not up to par yet. :)

For those interested in finding the inner meaning of these Holy Verses.

Not everything is linear, neat and tidy. To judge something or someone as credible based on these qualities leaves one severely in the dark, so to speak.

“اعلم أن قاعدة تفسير أهل الإشارة هى أن كل عتاب توجه لمن ترك طريق الإيمان ، وأنكر على أهله يتوجه مثله لمن ترك طريق مقام الإحسان ، وأنكر على أهله. وكل وعيد توعد به أهل الكفران يتوعد به من ترك السلوك لمقام الإحسان ، غير أن عذاب أهل الكفر حسى بدني ، وعذاب أهل الحجاب معنوى قلبى.
فنقول فيمن رضى بعيبه وأقام على مرض قلبه وأنكر الأطباء ووجود أهل التربية : بئسما اشتروا به أنفسهم ، وهو كفرهم بما أنزل اللّه من الخصوصية على قلوب أوليائه بغيا وحسدا ، أو جهلا وسوء ظن ، أن ينزل اللّه من فضله على”

“فإن علم تفسير القرآن من أجلّ العلوم ، وأفضل ما ينفق فيه نتائج الأفكار وقرائح الفهوم ، ولكن لا يتقدم لهذا الخطر الكبير إلا العالم النّحرير ، الذي رسخت أقدامه فى العلوم الظاهرة ، وجالت أفكاره فى معانى القرآن الباهرة ، بعد أن تضلّع من العلم الظاهر ، عربية وتصريفا ولغة وبيانا ، وفقها وحديثا وتاريخا ، يكون أخذ ذلك من أفواه الرجال ، ثم غاص فى علوم التصوف ذوقا وحالا ومقاما ، بصحبة أهل الأذواق من أهل الكمال ، وإلا فسكوته عن هذا الأمر العظيم أسلم ، واشتغاله بما يقدر عليه من علم الشريعة الظاهرة أتم.
واعلم أن القرآن العظيم له ظاهر لأهل الظاهر ، وباطن لأهل الباطن ، وتفسير أهل الباطن لا يذوقه إلا أهل الباطن ، لا يفهمه غيرهم ولا يذوقه سواهم ، ولا يصح ذكره إلا بعد تقرير الظاهر ، ثم يشير إلى علم الباطن بعبارة رقيقة وإشارة دقيقة ، فمن لم يبلغ فهمه لذوق تلك الأسرار فليسلّم ، ولا يبادر بالإنكار فإنّ علم الأذواق من وراء طور العقول ، ولا يدرك بتواتر النقول.”
