A lot of good recipes, some really weird and scary ones, and a nice history of a supposedly legendary barbecue place (which I have to admit I skimmed). There were a few recipes for huge quantities of meat (a full, 18 pound pork shoulder and at least three for whole hogs) that I'll likely never be able to try, but it's at least fun to read (and dream) about.
I tried many of the recipes and techniques from this book for the 4th of July and everyone thought the Que was just great.
