Mala adalah buku kedua dari tetralogi dandut yang ditulis oleh Putu Wijaya, salah seorang sastrawan besar yang dimiliki Indonesia. Di buku kedua dari tetralogi dangdutnya ini Putu berceloteh tentang banyak hal. Dari konspirasi orang berduit untuk melanggengkan kekuasaannya, hingga siasat orang kecil untuk tak mau kalah mendapat keuntungan dari kejadian di sekitar.

MALA akhirnya bersedia mengakui bahwa dia adalah pelaku mutilasi pada korban yang diakui sebagai Midori, bintang film panas sekaligus sahabatnya itu. Sahabat yang telah menyeretnya pada sebuah konspirasi politik yang tidak dikehendakinya.
Pengakuan itu dilakukan MALA dengan jaminan bahwa NORA,istri yang kekasihnya tidak akan dibunuh. Cintanya pada NORA yang lugu dan sederhana itu ternyata mampu membuatnya bersedia mengorbankan hal-hal terpenting dalam hidupnya.

As a sequel, Putu Wijaya keeps the reader's curiosity to a certain level. He lets the reader to be patiently read how this will be ended. Like previously, He makes the flow to be not in an order. I personally think that he makes the book just like what I see in daily life. The cases couldn't be solved directly. Any social situation is much more complex than we thought, it is simply not a black or white. For instance, we couldn't really put sex workers much under the ex-head of militant. Or, a be ...more
