Walt Disney's "Pinocchio" is a story where a puppet maker hopefully wishes that his puppet would be come a real boy. In the morning when he wakes he is ecstatic to see that his puppet had been turned into a real boy by the blue fairy. Pinocchio is a great book with many messages for children. It is a great book to talk to children about consciences and that they should listen to their own to decide what is right and wrong. It also shows children that lying is wrong and not a good choice and that bad things come from it. Another message that can be gathered from this magic folktale is the idea of second chances and if people are truly sorry that we should give them a second chance because everyone makes mistakes.

I've never been crazy about Pinocchio, so I don't remember much about it to compare. This is a very simple version.
