I needed some middle of the night, insomniac reading and strangely this fit the bill. For sure the Grimm's Fairy Tales I am reading for my book group this week did not. So, anyway, after the first ten or twelve pages I liked it though I have a hard time pinning down why. It's definitely chick lit with a rather tidy happy ending but somehow I was engaged by the character interactions, the questions of family, memory, belonging and faith that were raised. Beats me.

I enjoyed this book. There was nothing totally substantial about it, but I liked the character interactions and I was hooked from the beginning. It was a very nice airy summer read.

Slow starter but it got really good toward the middle - so hang in there.

I couldn't really get into this book, it was somewhat stereotypical chick lit and I think the character development was lacking.
