This is a very interesting book and was my first intro to Inez Baranay - the second being her call girl saga, Between Careers. Pagan is by far the better book but perhaps it's because the subject is so interesting. Set in 1950s Sydney, it focuses on the relationship between Sir Eugene Goossens, a conductor with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the wild and wacky Rosaleen Norton, the self-proclaimed Witch of Kings Cross.
