Every evening for the past few days I've thoroughly enjoyed reading Jennifer Louise Jefferson's novel, Defending Violet. There wasn't a false step in this well-crafted story about a female lawyer, Ginger Rae Reddy, who pours her legal expertise and heart into a pro bono case of defending the young mother of a victim of shaken baby syndrome.
