After much badgering and pressure of the good kind, yes you Dee! I was happily immersed in the lives of Alec and Jordan and what a journey it was drama, rage, despair but most of all there was a glimmer of hope that kept me going. This book has been added to my all time top 10 favorites list. When I read Lori's review (the other Lori) where she said she shied away from this book because she heard it was light on the sex, I was afraid I'd be disappointed too. Not a "turgid shaft" in sight and I didn't miss it at all. I do love a good deflowering scene but I was okay with not being a fly on the wall for this one. I found this story emotionally engaging. The plot was heartbreaking and triumphant at the same time. The characters, both main and secondary, were interesting and felt like real people to me.

The author has created a cast of characters in this novel that will grab your affections from the get go, and his villains are so rotten that, as with pantomime villains, you will love to hate them. Indeed, I've no doubt you'll be plotting revenge on them as much as I was!

I loved this novel, despite the insta-love trope, the annoying female character and the sometimes childish behavior of Alec/Curtis. It is story of survival, of living through emotional and psychological abuse, of living daily with a disorder capable of reducing you to the most basic level of humanity with little or no warning, and finally seeing that despite all of your flaws, you are worthy of the gift of love.

(view spoiler)[Curtis Tyler is a world-famous popstar with an ugly, rude, party-animal persona, but he is also graced with overwhelming talent for both singing and dancing. Yet it is just that, a persona... Alec Tyler, the young man beneath Curtis, is a lonely, insecure and shy young man, trapped in a gilded cage.

When Rebecca bullies her gay brother Jordan to go with her after she wins tickets to Curtis's final tour concert and after-party (and she annoyingly plans to shag Curtis as she 'knows' he will want her on sight - ugh!), neither Jordan or Curtis/Alec realizes that their live are about to drastically change. While waiting for his sister at the after-party, Jordan wanders away to a much quieter area, and accidentally stumbles across Curtis by himself. Jordan soon realizes that this Curtis is not the same Curtis he had just watched perform - he had stumbled upon Alec. From here, their relationship quickly explodes into love and the rest of the story.

Alec is very damaged young man with little or no sense of self worth. His Mother's early abandonment of him due to his diagnosis of severe epilepsy at the age of 8, has resulted in him being ashamed of being what he is; a feeling compounded by his manager Frank's verbal and emotional abuse. His manager had trapped him into an illegal (though this fact is not known by Alec) contract just 3 weeks after his father died (when he lost his only emotional and financial support) and on the very day he had turned 18. By holding the possibility of acceptance and care (something he craves but no longer has) from Frank's family, Frank manipulates Alec into a position where he is totally isolated, with no contact from anyone other than Frank. He has no support at all -even his epilepsy medication is controlled by his manager. The fact that Frank ridicules and mocks him for having epilepsy, and added to his Mother's rejection, means he tries to hide his condition from absolutely everyone, whether it's Jordan, hotel staff or the public. He no longer knows or realizes that it's okay to ask for help.

The needless cruelty and greediness of Frank is truly awful. It takes Jordan and several others all that they have to get Alec to both see that he was lovable and to be able to ask for help when needed. This story takes you on an emotional roller-coaster before the hint of a happy ending appears. A scene in a hospital left me virtually sobbing, even on my second read of the story. But despite a few annoyng aspects, the strength of the story wins me over - loved it! (hide spoiler)](less)

Right, Jordan is a bit of a geek, he is a 28 years old software gay engineering and his target in life is to build a comfy nest for another lovebird... there is the little problem that Jordan's expectation in a partner are quite high and till now no one has measured up to them. But Jordan is willing to wait, he is in no hurry. Have you started to realize that Jordan is not an easily impressionable man? And so he is less than happy when his sister forces him to be her chaperon on the hottest rock concert of the season, a live performance of Tyler Curtis; from what Jordan knows, Tyler is a spoiled badmouthed rock star with a rotten attitude and the habit to sleep with a different groupie every night.

On the scene Tyler is good, but all the circus around him is so tiring that on the following party, Jordan is only searching a way to escape. And far from the crowd he meets Tyler... actually no, he meets Alec, the real "Curtis". Alec is a barely 20 years old man with the behavior of a teen and the innocence of a baby. Due to an health problem, Alec was abandoned by his mother and sheltered by his father; when the father suddenly passed away, Alec felt almost captive of a selfish manager who treats him like a puppet. The real talented Alec was hidden to allow the birth of Tyler, a man Alec himself despise.

Alec is all Jordan's dreamed off: sincere and trustful, naivee till embarrassment, all blushing and sweetness... he is so innocent that "virgin" is not quite enough to describe him. Suddenly Jordan is fiercely protective for the man who seems to be the lovebird missing to his nest. The author manages to turn the tables in all I was expecting: it's not Jordan who is swept away in a world that he didn't know and let him helpless, it's Alec who is the "damsel in distress"; it's not an erotic and naught love story, on the contrary, the sex is almost chaste and always behind closed doors if not for only once time; it's not a funny romp, sometime it's almost a drama.

I was well aware in some part of the story that the author was pushing on the moving button, while reading some scene, I was really thinking, here he is, now he pushes the right button and he is sure to have the reader in tears... and I was in tears! I couldn't help myself. All right, it was only a moment, and after all the story is more sweet and tender than dramatic, but nevertheless I poured one tear or two.

So if you want to read a very unusual gay romance, with a very fresh and young style, The Curtis Reincarnation by Zathyn Priest is on my recommendation list; I don't know how old Zathyn Priest is, but I would bet that he is young, since his novel has a very young feeling.

There is one major problem that I have with Zathyn Priest's books. Once I start reading them, I get sucked in and I don't want to stop reading, even for a little while. I have yet to read anything by this author that I didn't love. I will admit to putting off on reading this book for awhile because I'm not a big fan of the "rock star" type books. I've read a few that I have enjoyed but most pretty much fall flat............ it's all about groupies, sex, drugs, etc. So NOT the case with this book...more There is one major problem that I have with Zathyn Priest's books. Tyler Curtis is a major rock star. He's an obnoxious jerk who sleeps with a different groupie every night. He trashes hotel rooms, flips off the media and sings suggestive songs. Or is he?

Jordan is an uptight gay man. Picky when it comes to partners. No one is good enough to share his world. All he wants is someone willing to share his life and do the crossword puzzle with him on Sundays. But his attitude comes across as him being a jerk, so no one is allowed to get close enough to him.

Jordan is forced to accompany his sister, Bec, to a Tyler Curtis concert. Bec is convinced that she will be the groupie in Tyler's bed that night. Jordan doesn't want to go because (in his eyes) Tyler Curtis is nothing more than an obnoxious jerk. He goes to the concert and walks away from the after-party. He ends up in a secluded room in the hotel and in walks Tyler Curtis. What follows is a very sweet love story. Tyler is not who Jordan believes he is. Tyler is Alec, a very shy person who is forced by his manager to keep up the bad boy image on stage and in public.

From there a beautiful love story takes place. There is drama with Tyler's manager, his long-lost mother, an illness, etc. I loved this book from start to finish. The rock star Tyler Curtis persona did not take center stage. The Alec story did. I enjoyed watching Alec grow as a person because of Jordan. I was only sorry to see the story end. I look forward to the sequel.

This was the last of this author's books for me to read as I have read all the others. I can not wait until another story comes out. He will remain as my immediate "go to" when it comes to new books. (less)

I hold my hands up and admit I'm an emotional reader. I laugh and giggle out loud when a book's funny and I blubber like a baby when a story is sad or bittersweet. I always fall for my MC's, always get lost in their stories and generally " boo hiss " with a vengeance at the baddies! I did all the latter in this compelling book but my god did I do some serious boo hissing at a few of the characters - You know who you are ...but Ahh... Revenge is sweet - and for one butt clenchingly painfull !! No...more I hold my hands up and admit I'm an emotional reader. I laugh and giggle out loud when a book's funny and I blubber like a baby when a story is sad or bittersweet. I always fall for my MC's, always get lost in their stories and generally " boo hiss " with a vengeance at the baddies! This starts as a typical goth/rock star meets ordinary Joe and it sort of lulls you into thinking you know exactly where its going to lead but dont be fooled... the book twists and turns and plays your preconceptions like a fiddle!
There are quite a few Hmmm moments and sometimes the story moves into overdrive on the drama but somehow all these are overridden by the sheer enjoyment of the main love story between two really adorable guys who stole my heart. :) There are some really fantastic scenes between them, a favourite one being when Jordan first sees Curtis Tyler out of character, dancing in the wings unbeknown to anyone watching. Also when he's in Curtis mode on stage with his fans its electric!

Curtis or Alec (his real name ) is a fabulously multi layered character who you can't help but love and want to protect with his adoreable lisp and ' split personality ' and Jordan is his perfect foil. He is Alec's rock and support and helps Alec to break free and become the person he truly wants to be despite the negative influences in his life. Their insta love happens fast ( literally ) and is one of the Hmm moments but once they are together, its magic so I'll hold judgement ...
And then there's Bec- mouthy, gratingly annoying and mad as a box of frogs! I spent most of the book in a bit of a love/hate relationship with her, but she's certainly unforgettable and I guess by the end she grudgingly grew on me. Add in some other strong supporting characters and you've got a really compelling story.
So summing it all up , all I can say is I loved, loved, loved it and its won its place with all my other Keepers . (less)

I know...but just listen...give me a chance to explain.

The Curtis Reincarnations is perhaps one of the sweetest stories of love and redemption ever to grace the m/m romance genre. Zathyn Priest weaves a story of a wounded and lost soul, a musical prodigy and genius Alec Tyler aka Tyler Curtis, bad boy goth rocker extraordinaire. Abandoned by an evil and heartless mother, left parentless after the death of a beloved father at the age of 17, Alec is "discovered' by a cruel and money hungry man turned abusive manager, Frank Brooks. For the next two years, Brooks mercilessly molds Alec into a superstar, hiding his epilepsy and grand mal seizures, under medicating the same and slowly robbing him blind. And then across the streets of London, a girl named Bec wins a pair of tickets and convinces her standoffish gay brother Jordan to go to the concert of one Tyler Curtis. Trying to escape the crowd after the concert, Jordan hides by the side of the stage when suddenly Alec steps out and dances...for the audience of one...one young man who sits mesmerized by the exquisite grace of the other...and the line that Zathyn Priest writes for his MC to utter to the other says it all, "God...you're exquisite." And so begins a love affair that will culminate in perhaps the sweetest most satisfying ending to a book I have ever read. The bad guys get theirs, the boys live happily ever after and even the side characters get more than they could ever imagine, including a brilliant recording career in the making for fiery haired Bec.

So I know you are asking yourself, but why? If you liked The Curtis Reincarnation that much, why only 3.5 stars? Well, you see...it was just a bit TOO perfect...a bit TOO neatly tied up in a happy, little package. Now please don't get me wrong I am not one that loves angst but...this story was just unfortunately lacking in some areas. The incredible speed (less than a week) with which the snarky, closed off Jordan falls head over heels in love. The naivete bordering on almost unbelievable goodness that permeated the character of Alec Tyler, and the incredibly neat way that even gangsters fell in line to ensure the happy ending seemed just a bit to contrived.

Please do know that I respect this author and his work. In fact I thoroughly enjoy much of his work and did like this novel. However, I believe that this book needed just a bit more realism to turn what bordered on a saccharin love story into a more realistic tale of a life marked by redemption, love and reincarnation.(less)

This is a very sweet book. It is, however, very black and white - the main protagonists are very good, the antagonist, very bad.

I felt it was quite Young Adult, there was one sex scene that pushed it past the YA category, but otherwise it really could have been/maybe should have been a YA book. I felt at times like the book wasn't sure/clear where it fit.

Some people might be put of this book by the blurb. It does not sell this one as well as it should. But I can promise you with my hand on my heart, this book is beautiful. Its a romance yes, but its also so much more. Not only is it a romance but its a story of hardship and medical issues as well as abuse of power. I have a hard time saying how good this book was but I promise to try.

Loved it! Jordan and Tyler were wonderful, their love story was filled with so much humor, drama and emotion that I found myself laughing out loud at one moment and crying my eyes out at others. I have to admit that I'm not crazy for 'insta-love' books, but in his book Jordan and Tyler spent so much time talking and getting to know each other that in the end it did not matter to me.

The journey to read this book is long and boring to anyone who wasn't there, but let;s just say I'm glad to have gotten there. This book absolutely captivated me. I went from giggling and thinking how sweet and cute this or that was when Jordan and Alec were together to being angry with how Alec had to grow up and sad when reading about what he had to endure with the seizures on top of everything else. It takes an awful lot for me to get emotional over a book, but this one accomplished it.

Tyler Curtis, sigh. Gorgeous, silky voiced and the consummate showman. He is lewd, foul and prone to destroying things, and he’s getting worse by the minute. Jordan, the cynical web designer, can’t stand anything about Tyler. Too bad for him that sister Bec adores him (and yes, at 25 she is stuck in a teenage crush with sexual wishes). Even worse, Bec has now won tickets to the concert and a meet-n-greet, which she demands Jordan attend, mainly so there will be no competition for Tyler’s bed, which she is sure she will be ending up in.

Bec is crude and obnoxious it takes a while to get to like her. I did, but she’s very brash, very lewd, and very opposite of Jordan. He owes her now, because otherwise how could he have met Alec?

Alec’s epilepsy was handled so well, I have to think Mr. Priest has someone close who has gone through it. A family member of mine has the disease, and so much of what Alec goes through (especially the fear of never knowing when) came through so honestly and so clearly. It was refreshing to read of such a topic handled truthfully without sugar-coating or pitying. It’s a fact of life for some people and they deal with it, as Alec did. Frank should be flogged.

It is interesting to me how different I may view a book depending on when I read it. Sometimes I can accept anything and everything, sometimes I can’t. While I liked this story so much, there were a few things that kept it from being a 5 for me. The insta-love is very, very instant. Literally, in about two days there is a proposal and within a week they are claiming eternity. I wish there had been a little more time in between that, particularly since Jordan has been such an icy guy to this point. I also wish we could have seen Leanne get hers. It’s touched on later but I wanted more.

The way Alec handled Frank by the end was beautifully done. I felt it was something completely within the realm of possibility and indeed something that Alec would think through. He’s a young man in age, he’s an old soul in character. Wise choice.

The story is very sweet, disease and evil users not withstanding. There are scenes with Alec and Jordan that are just short of too much sugar. Taylor is a great character, trying to help Alec (who still doesn’t really understand the importance of the lesson). It’s a lovely story that requires a bit of suspension of belief, but then it’s worth it.

A chance meeting in a hotel brings him the love of his life, but he is entangled in a web created by his heavy handed manager and Alec doesn’t know which way to turn. Jordan would rather rip his tongue out than talk to Tyler Curtis, but a chance meeting shows him the man behind the image. Now Jordan wants nothing more than to protect Alec from the world, but facing the maelstrom might be too much for both men and Jordan has to become Alec’s eye in the storm.

This story is a re-released edited version of the original 2008 edition; there are some minor changes, but nothing to detract from the awesomeness of the book. So first off, hands up, I have read every edition that I could get my hands on, and yes I have read The Curtis Reincarnation numerous times… more than fifteen and less than thirty and let’s leave it at that. Zathyn Priest has created a story that gives you most things that you want (I will forgive him for the lack of bloodshed and gore, the pub scene more than makes up for it), it has angst, stress, medical issues, love, adoration, hope, devastation, vindictiveness, friendship and just deserts.

Jordan and Alec meet by chance and are both soon swept away in the flush of new love, yes it happens quickly but it fits them both as characters, Alec confides the truth about his lonely existence and Jordan sweeps in to support Alec as he makes sweeping decisions that his nasty manager will not like. It’s the beginning of the reinvention of a rock star, but Alec faces so much more on a personal level when the mother who abandoned him suddenly gets in touch. Jordan is the man who picks up the pieces and proves that Alec Tyler is a man who deserves the unconditional love that he is showered with.

All the characters in this book are brilliant, they are well written and worm their way into your hearts, well except Frank (manager) and Leanne (mother) but they earn your contempt nicely. The story flows well, and there will be times where your eyes fill with tears and your breath hitches, there will be times that you smother a laugh or giggle and there are times when you sigh and ‘awww’. There are sweet moments, angsty moments, devastating moments and happy moments, there are some fumbling moments and erotic moments and some very loving moments, one of my favourite moments is during the wedding reception, it was just so horrifyingly beautiful.

This is a story not to miss, and if you haven’t already read it, then come out from under your rock and read this wonderful book. I personally will be re-reading this book until the release of the sequel The Violin Player.

Jordan and Alec meet very early on in the book, and the majority of the story is dedicated to the struggle to release Alec from the Tyler Curtis creation he has been stuck portraying for the past few years. It is by no means an easy road, but the journey is one that is touching and inspiring. This novel is an exploration of the contrast between a pubic image and the real person that is often forgotten. “The world saw the indomitable Curtis phenomenon. Jordan saw his agonized burnout.”

This novel tells of the romance between Alec and Jordan, but at the core this is Alec’s story. He is the character that shines brighter than all others in every scene. Priest has poured his heart and soul into this character and it shows from beginning to end. Over the course of the novel we learn about Alec’s past while accompanying him through numerous emotional and physical challenges. At only twenty, he has had to endure more than most suffer throughout an entire lifetime. The fact that he has survived at all is a testament to his spirit and watching the transformation that occurs with the appearance of Jordan in his life is captivating.

I especially enjoyed the dichotomy of Alec Tyler and Tyler Curtis. The changes that come over Alec when he steps onstage are enthralling and show the depth of his character. It is a role that Alec is playing, an entity that is distinctly separate from the one he lives in his normal life.

“Out of character, Alec would never be this brash, nor would he be heard endorsing his looks the way he did on stage or in front of press. Put him on stage as Tyler Curtis and suddenly all his shy, low self-confidence washed to the wayside.”

The part of this novel that struck me the hardest of all is the epilepsy that Alec Tyler battles. He has been dealing with the disorder since childhood, but due to many reasons it is far from being under control. His greatest fear is having a seizure in view of the public. Priest provides achingly realistic descriptions of the seizures that Alec must endure, both on a physical and emotional level. By being inside Alec’s head, the reader is exposed to a taste of what it is like to live life not knowing when a seizure could strike. The experiences are gut wrenching and powerful and add an element to Alec that is often missing in “rock star” characters. Epilepsy is not commonly addressed, especially in GLBT fiction, and Priest’s use is enlightening and deeply moving.

Jordan is not as deeply developed as Alec, but he pays his crucial role in the story quite well. His confidence and belief in love are always visible, and he has a wealth of strength that is a gift for Alec. I thoroughly enjoyed the character of Bec, and she brings humor and joy in every scene she is a part of. As a character, she is the face of the hundreds of thousands of rabid Tyler Curtis fans who idolize the singer. Bec is obsessed with the popular singer, and when he becomes a part of her life through Jordan it isn’t necessarily easy to reconcile the temperamental singer she so adores with the real person. The reporter Taylor Mason and driver Isaac Welsh round out the people in Alec’s life that care about the singer and balance out the vileness that is Alec’s manager Frank Brooks. Frank is truly wicked in his manipulation of Alec and makes it easy to understand how Alec has become so run down and unhappy.

The only criticism I have is that there are numerous mistakes that I would think should be caught in the editorial process. Thankfully these errors did not detract in any way from my overall enjoyment of the novel. Some might balk a bit at how quickly the two main characters fall in love, but honestly you really want to move right past that part and get to the real meat of the story after the two have already met. Overall The Curtis Reincarnation is a captivating and enjoyable book that I couldn’t put down!(less)

I've read this twice now and I love it. Alec makes the book. His character is written very well with such personality its almost tangible. I really really liked that he and Jordan met and just clicked. Their was no drama or angst between them. Rather, it was the two of them against the world. I really liked the premise, but the execution fell flat for me. I expected the Tyler badass persona to be the result of a closeted, conflicted, lonely Alec. Instead, we get a saccharine-sweet virgin twink who, at the order of his manager, is able to act the part of a jerk rock star seemingly without ever letting his true self slip? Just didn't ring true for me. And while the Alec character was overblown, the Jordan character was underdeveloped. I never felt I got to know him nearly as well as Alec. These two guys (not to mention Jordan's over-the-top sister, Alec's jerk manager and his bitch mother) felt more like characatures than characters.

On top of all that, their romance develops at lightning speed -- despite the fact that Jordan has indicated he won't just jump into a relationship and Alec is terrified of bucking his manager's plans. I'm all for characters falling in love and learning life may have something else in store for them than what they'd planned. But given the looong book, I think a few more pages could have been devoted to the formation of this romance (and Jordan's character development). Maybe waited a whole week before the guys were declaring eternal love and getting engaged?!

My final main problem with the book is that Alec is a little too young for my tastes. He may be 20, but emotionally he seems much younger. Although I wouldn't say 27-year-old Jordan took advantage of him, the two of them hooking up made me uncomfortable. Oh, and Alec has never even masturbated?! Come on!

There were redeeming parts to the book - the plot to overthrow Frank and the way Alec's illness was handled, for example. I did tear up at one point, so I can't say it didn't live up to its inclusion on the tear-jerker list. But I still feel cheated - I didn't come away enjoying this book nearly as much as I'd anticipated.(less)

The setting was interesting: a computer geek falling for a rock star. However the blurb is really misleading: the expectations about the plot and characters I have formed after reading it were completely wrong. Surprise element was welcomed, but the further the action went the more unbelievable the plot became and the characters more unreal.

A few a weeks ago I read a short story that ZP has available for free on his web site. I was not impressed. I think it was because:
A. I don't like short stories - they're just not long enough to be satisfying. I only like the "interlude" ones that Loose Id will do sometimes with popular writers, that just give you a little glimpse into the world of a couple you've already read about in a previous full length.
B. I did not like his portrayal of a secondary female character. I won't get in...more 4.5 stars

I am very glad I didn't let that one story color my view of all his work. I really liked this book. It wasn't perfect, it had its flaws (which I will probably list because I'm a nerd and I have nothing better to do right now), but overall it was very satisfying. Tyler could not have been more adorable and made reading this story really enjoyable. The plot itself was also very engaging, I didn't ever want to put this down. It was a little melodramatic, but in a good way.:) There was plenty of humor and plenty of tissue-worthy moments.

There were just a few issues, which is why the 4.5 stars instead of 5:

1. The shifting POV was a little erratic. It wasn't nearly as bad as some books I've read, but it did get a little hard to follow at times. Shifting POV can be tricky because it relies a lot on balance, and this one was a little unbalanced, but it wasn't too distracting.
2. I wish the romance had been a little less rushed. I just don't buy love at first sight and one of the things I love most in a romance novel is to see the process, and they not only fell in love that first night, but they fell right into that familiar rhythm of a relationship immediately, and then it was just smooth sailing after that. No internal conflict at all, it was all outside stuff.
3. I wish Jordan had been a little bit better developed. It started from his POV, but then once he met Alec, it switched to being Alec (Tyler)'s story and we didn't really get to see much of Jordan beyond his love and devotion to Alec. He seemed like kind of a background character a lot of times, until those few token "Jordan and Alec" scenes.

That was really all. Alec did come across as extremely naive and too trusting and nice, but this was actually explained so I guess it was okay. Though I did keep thinking "This poor boy!" We as readers knew that Jordan was a good guy and his intentions were right, but how was Alec to know this? You just jump into a relationship with a guy you barely met - you really don't think he's after your money?

Bottom line: Very sweet love story (though a little too fast), and an entertaining though at times erratic plot. I'm gonna head over to Listopia right now and vote for it on the "Best Gay Rockers" list.(less)

I am incredibly glad that I read The Slayer's Apprentice before I read this one. If I hadn't, I may have written Priest off too soon, and that would have been a tragedy. This book made me realize I need to give authors a few more chances to hit their stride and/or find their voice. (I've been knocked down quite a few pegs by books lately. Awesome.)

This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. As well as satisfying my craving for a rock star story, it also delivered on the romance, intrigue, drama, comedy and heartbreak.

I would not consider this an Erotic Romance. I would put this under more of a sensual romance, which was totally fine with me. Between the storyline and the chemistry between the heroes, I honestly didn’t miss the erotic sex much. Don’t get me wrong, there is sex in this story, but not a lot of it, nor is it very explicit. You won’t miss it, believe me.

Jordan Braxton is an everyday average guy. He successfully works from home has a sister (who is also his roommate) who drives him crazy, owns a cat named Furball, and is looking for his one true love. When his sister wins concert tickets, and an after show meet and greet party, to see the very famous Tyler Curtis, Jordan is not impressed. Tyler is obnoxious, crude and has a reputation with the ladies that would make the Pope weep with shame. Jordan can’t stand him, and thinks his behavior is despicable. When Jordan’s sister begs, pleads and bribes for Jordan to go with her, he reluctantly gives in.

From the moment he witnesses Tyler in concert he is intrigued. Yes, Tyler is crass and curses like a sailor, but his obvious talent and huge persona on stage fascinates Jordan in spite of his dislike for the singer.

After the concert Jordan and his sister attend a meet and greet. While Jordan sits off to the side, he spots Tyler standing in the wings. Tyler starts doing some uncharacteristic things (you’ll have to read it) and Jordan becomes more and more attractive to the now mysterious Tyler. Tyler obviously thinks he cannot be seen, but when he spots Jordan watching him there is a connection that sizzles between them before Tyler disappears behind the stage.

Confused by his sudden change of heart for the hugely successful singer, Jordan decides to wander around the hotel the meet and greet is at. After some time, he runs into Tyler and he gets his chance to talk with the rock star alone. The more he is around Tyler, the more Jordan realizes that the bad ass rock star image Tyler has obtained starts to crumble. They form an immediate connection, and Jordan and Tyler soon fall head over heels for one another.

I loved Tyler. He ended up being such a sweet man. I thought he was a refreshing character. I don’t want to get into much about him because I really don’t want to spoil it, but his innocence (yes I said innocence) and the trials he goes through, made him a character that was easy to root for, and stand behind. I thought he and Jordan were made for one another, and even though they fall in love practically at first sight, there is enough angst to make their story interesting and so SWEET to read.

I loved this story, and I am looking forward to reading more written by this author! This was easily a 5 star read for me.
