It can be a challenge to get little ones to eat a variety of foods, or harder yet, try new ones, and Eating the Rainbow is here to help! This brightly-colored chunky board book features a variety of beautiful babies snacking on an even more varied selection of healthy foods including fruits, vegetables, grains and dairy products. Each two-page spread highlights foods of a particular color, encouraging little readers to identify both the colors and the foods pictured. Children are as excited to r ...more

This is a great children's book that I would use to teach children the various names and types of fruit that there are. With this cook, they can also focus on the colors of the fruit, enhancing their knowledge of colors. The concept and pictures were good, but they skipped BLUE! How can they talk about eating the Rainbow without the color blue?
A very cute board book for teaching your toddler about colors and names of food. I had to deduct points for the odd choice of pink foods. There is watermelon and pink grapefruit, which are very common, but the other three are litchis, guava, adn radish, which is looks as red the raspberries pictured on the red page do pink. Pomegranate and raspberries and possibly cranberries might have been a better choice since children are more likely to see those items in the produce department of the grocer ...more
A cute board book on learning foods and colors.

One drawback, it has watermelon and radishes under "pink". It also has cheese under "white". When I think of the foods, in general, I think of other colors like red or yellow.
