Recommends it for: Fans of the series
This has got to be one of Karen Rose's most disturbing books, if only for the subject matter she tackles--human trafficking, child pornography and prostitution, and rape. Parts of this book were just so upsetting and grim, it gave me a new understanding and sorrow for not only the victims of these crimes, but also for what the investigators of these crimes must go through. There were lots of emotional moments in this book that brought tears to my eyes, and I was especially saddened by what the h ...more

This is not a standalone story so it is not recommended you read this before reading (at least) the two immediately preceding books. I still strongly urge reading the entire series in order as related characters pop up throughout.

The story begins sometime near the end of the last story, running parallel to when Daniel and Alex first discovered the nightmare bunker. I was thrilled to get Susannah and Luke's perspectives as they neared the site and discovered Bailey and "Jane Doe." What ensued wa

5 stars – Romantic Suspense

This is a very dark, chilling, and disturbing suspense read that tackles some truly horrifying subject matter, including greed, incest, abuse, gang rape, child pornography and sexual slavery, torture, human trafficking, and murder. Besides being a difficult read due to the gruesome content, it also has an intricate plot and a large cast of characters, and I definitely recommend reading the preceding books, Die For Me and Scream For Me, otherwise you’ll get quite lost

Another 5-star winner from Karen Rose. I've been anxiously awaiting this book since finishing Scream For Me and it didn't disappoint. I was hardly able to put it down once I started.

Kill For Me is the third and last book in the Vartanian trilogy (and the ninth book in her set of loosely connected characters). It wraps up the on-going storyline of the Vartanian family and the ghosts of their past. This story features Susannah Vartanian (sister of Daniel from Scream For Me) and GBI ICAC (internet

Kill For Me by Karen Rose is a 2009 Grand Central Publication.

I am finally getting back to this book after repeated tries to work it into my reading schedule. I really like this series and Karen Rose is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors.

This arc in the romantic suspense series features Daniel and Susannah Vartanian and picks up pretty much where the last book left off, after the shocking revelations concerning their brother, Simon.

But, the shocks are just going to keep coming in th

WARNING!! Dark and disturbing subjects are part of the plot of this book. This is also not a standalone story. The three books in this trilogy take place within two weeks, but due to the subjects and the extremely high body counts, I wouldn't recommend reading back to back. Karen Rose is very good at taking nasty subjects and weaving them in a way to make them feel real and chilling. This one more is just #9 in a line of very chilling romantic-suspense books.

Two things that actively work against me in my reading life: 1) My lurid taste in fiction--and I use that term loosely. 2) Once I find an author that has a huge back list, I tend to read obsessively.

This book is the third in a series with recurring characters. A bunch of hunky single cops on the look-out for their one and only. A bunch of beautiful, broken women looking heal their lonely hearts and vaginas. Dead wives/husbands/abusive exes hang about hauntingly and force our heroes and heroines

Kill For Me is the third book in Karen Rose's Daniel Vartanian series and the ninth in her Romantic Suspense series. Susannah Vartanian and Luke Papadopoulos were introduced in previous books of the series and the story overlaps and continues from Scream for Me. Luke works for the GBI and is Daniel's partner. Daniel is injured and it's up to Luke to continue the investigation without him. Susannah expected to return to New York but she stays to help. Meanwhile, there is evil people kidnapping yo ...more

Well I must say that I have become a huge fan of Karen Rose after reading this 3 book series. Kill For Me was a very twisted story that kept me wondering what was gonna happen next. I too like others wished that the romance was a bit more in this book but despite that, I loved the book anyway's. I'm sure I'll be reading many more of Karen Rose's book's in the future.

The day of reckoning is drawing near...

This book starts in the last few chapters of the previous one (Scream For Me), this time from Susannah and Luke’s point of view.
Susannah is Daniel’s (the hero in Scream For Me) and Simon’s (villain in Die For Me) sister with a dark and painful past of her own, creating multiple issues in the present. She finally grew a pair and decided to “get her life back” by taking a stand and accusing her rapists from thirteen years ago (though only one is still living)

Még most is rágom a körmömet... :D

Karen Rose should have ended this trilogy at Book #2. I found myself slowly plodding through this one just waiting for it to end. Not anywhere near as good as the first two. This was just a foray to tie up loose ends in a long winded way.

After waiting for this book since the day after I read Scream for Me, I was disappointed! I felt that Rose vacilated between trying too hard and making it too easy at times.

Writing a book which closes a trilogy and attempts to answer all the questions posed by its predecessors in the series is no easy task, and, hats off to Rose for doing this - she does indeed tie up every loose end. However, in doing this she fell into the trap of trying to explain some things that are not even loose ends.

I was so relieved to finish this book. It was heavy and filled with too much detail such that instead of complex, it became merely complicated. I found it hard to follow and, in the end, totally lost interest in the investigation.

Halfway through the book, I was sorely tempted to abandon it...but it was a Karen Rose. I HAD to finish it, right? It took awhile coming but finally, two thirds into the book, the speed picks up and it felt much more like a romantic suspense than a book that ought to ha

Another amazing book from Karen Rose. Just amazing.

A quick warning before the review: This book should not be read by everyone, just like her last book "Scream For Me" should not be read by everyone. The plot centers around child prostitution, child sexual slavery and internet pedophilia. If you're a parent, you may not want to read this; you might not be able to let your child out of your sight afterwards.

Susannah Vartanian was raped by her older brother Simon when she was a teenager. He led a

Definitely not for the faint of heart. Karen Rose has done it again (IMO) with Kill For Me. I definitely agree that you MUST read Scream for Me (and probably Die for Me) before reading this book. I had to really think and try to remember what happened in SFM (I borrowed the book from the library when I first read it so I didn't have it on hand to look through). This is also a book that requires concentration with all of its twists and turns - totally filled with suspense. I also agree with those ...more

I'm so surprised by my rating of this one. I normally LOVE Rose's suspense books. But nothing in this book really interested me. The crime was definitely captivating, but because of it's connection to other books I felt as if I had read some of these scenes before (I think there were duplicates to remind people of what was going on). I also was never a big fan of this Vartanian story line. It feels like poor horse has been beaten a time too many. I really didn't have any feelings towards the mai ...more

Wow. This finished off the story started in the previous book in a great way. I still don't want to visit Dutton GA. There were definitely some surprising twists. And some great things happened, there were some I was happy to see survive.

Follow up to Die For Me and Scream for Me

I usually enjoy Karen Rose's books, but this one I did not like.
I felt that too much was going on: too much killing, too many characters, too much to keep track of (like who fits into the rapes that happened in the previous book, who is trafficking teenagers, who and why is killing). This book was cluttered with minor characters who were confusing, unnecessa

Kill For Me is the third and final book in Karen Rose's Vartanian trilogy. Susannah Vartanian, despite her successful career as an ADA has always felt like alone and isolated because she was a victim of her brother Simon. Now she is ready to confront her past and see the bad guys behind bars. Luke Papadopoulos is Daniel's friend that we met in book 1, he investigates internet crime, especially child abuse, but now he is lending a hand to Daniel in solving these past and present cases.

I love Karen Rose's Romantic Suspense books and most of them are 5 star reads for me and although I enjoyed this book it wasn't one of my favorites. However, it was still very engaging and I had a hard time finding a place to stop for the night.

This is the 3rd book in the Daniel Vartanian trilogy and you really can't read it without reading the two previous books. I'm also glad I read them pretty close together because there are so many characters (both good and bad guys) to keep track of. In f

Kill For Me is another great romantic suspense by Karen Rose. There's lots of drama here and tons of shocking twists and turns. Susannah Vartainian and GBI Agent, Luke Papadoupoulous are on a disturbing case, when her brother's hospitalization from a lethal attack. And from there, it gets more twists and perverse than that, when someone's gunning after her for their own nefarious reasons. Family secrets and a sex slave human trafficking ring is a crux for this plot. But it also brought them toge ...more
