This came so close to five stars, with a great Takagi-Sato sequence and a crazy gathering of detectives. But the stories of George's stalker and the pottery class weren't quite strong enough a finish. That's okay, though; anything with the Kaito Kid is gonna be a tough act to follow!

Probably one of my favourite parts of Detective Conan is that each case is different. Each case is a stand alone which makes it more entertaining and gripping than a very long case. Perhaps this episodic nature is why I can't seem to bring myself to give the volumes a five star.

This volume brought more of the Takagi and Sato pairing. The opening case involves a criminal being transported in the hands of Takagi and Sato on a train. Of course, our hero Conan was there to help sort out a murder on

By now, if one has been reading all the volumes up to now, no one should be surprised of the convoluted nature and manner of the crime that was committed in each storyarc. However, the first two arcs of volume 30 seems to win the prize of the 'take 3 rights instead of a left' method of committing a murder, where a crime is so convoluted that it almost seems counterproductive.

With 30 volumes, I'm getting the feeling that Aoyama is running out of material and is basically either scraping the bott

This starts off with a murder mystery on a train and ends with a story about Genta being convinced someone's after him, and the start of a story involving a pottery class, but the real highlight of Vo. 30 for me was a story that brought a number of detectives together in a remote house and presented with a number of mysteries to solve - all of them deadly.

This was one of the stories that I felt would have been as well served by being made into a movie as by being turned into episodes of the sho
