I learned alot, however, you would think that a feminist wrote this book rather than a man and even I found that offensive as a woman.

Very accessible and up-to-date. It doesn’t just stick to famous names and their theories but mostly explores real current issues. I think it's essential for every person to read a good sociology book or take a soc class; we are all living in a society after all!
