After a few dark reads: a man going deaf, blind, and insane in a rubbish-filled Manhattan brownstone, a sterility apocalypse, and the murderous madness of Judge Holden, I needed a comic book.

Goats isn't the best comic I've read, but it kept me turning pages. Part of that is because it's 100% devoid of meaningful plot, and thus requires very little brainpower. I always like fiction in which God is found to be mortal and killed: in the previous volume of Goats, God was killed, turned into a pork
