She's everything a big bad wolf could want.

Coping with a devastating injury is hard enough for Belinda--Belle--Campbell. Forced separation from her destined mate while she heals is almost more than she can endure. Until she is strong enough to take up her duties as Luna of the Poconos Wolf Pack, however, the safest place for her is Halle. Now, after months of being alone,

Alpha Rick Lowell is not used to backing down when it comes to what he wants, but finding his mate who is recovering from from an injury endured saving on of her pack members. Rick leaves her to rehabilitate until she can come home with him. Rick also has to figure out how his Poconos Wolf Pack will accept a Puma Luna and the rules run by the pack are antiquated enough as it is.

Belinda has endured enough rejection the last few months that she is counting down the days when she can leave with he

The Halle Pumas series rolls on with another winner in the form of Steel Beauty, this time starring Belinda Campbell, pseudo-villianess from previous books and Rick Lowell, Alpha of the Poconos Wolf Pack. I really, really enjoyed getting to know Belle as an individual instead of as evil Olivia's sidekick, and I think the difference between Belle's true personality and how people have perceived her all these years was illustrated really well through this story.

People like to hate Belle for her ha

Steel Beauty is my favourite Halle Pumas book. It is about Belle, a female puma who, thanks to her best ex-friend, became an outcast in the Pride and only a handful of it's members would acknowledge her. Even after saving Sheri's life in the previous book, Belle is not acknowledged. Struggling through the recuperation of her injuries, she has found her mate, an Alpha wolf, Rick, who wants to take her back to his Pack and introduce her as his Luna. Only one problem, a dominant female wolf, Gina, ...more

I think one of the things I like best about this series is that the books are not terribly long. Once I get going, I like to read them all as quick as possible to see whats gonna happen next! And boy did this one rock! Belle had previously been a total biotch and everyone thinks she's the typical 'dumb blonde'. They would be wrong on all accounts! In the last book, she shows her true colors as a true friend and pridemate by saving Sheri from an attempted hit and run, leaving her hip busted and n ...more

The fourth book in the Halle Puma series.

This book begins as the last one ends. In Steel Beauty we find Rick, the Alpha werewolf being forced to leave his newly discovered and as yet, unclaimed mate behind as she heals from being hit by a car. Bellinda/Belle when healed has to face her new mates pack and the struggles involved with being a non-wolf Luna.

Belle has a great sense of humour and the joking cat/dog jokes between the pair will have you giggling!

Dana Marie Bell once again delivers a st

I loved Belle... I thought she was hilarious.. She did pretty good with all the haters too!

Another fast, fun read. This time Belle, the Puma leaves Halle to be the Luna of a wolf-pack. In addition to recovering from being hit by a car, she must adapt to the different protocols of her pack compared to her pride and fight off the challenge of wolf who wants the Luna position, if her mate will stop protecting her. Very enjoyable.

I’ve been looking forward to this book since I read and reviewed the first of the series, Cat of a Different Color, last November. I liked the idea of a cat and wolf mating and how the dynamics of that mating would affect both hero and heroine and the pack they would be living with. And though I still have to read the first two books in the series, I like that the author is bringing in new characters from a totally different direction, giving the series more depth.

One of my favorite things in th

When we left the Halle Pumas last time a new mating was announced and even the mated pair were as surprised as anyone else by this particular mating. One is Belinda “Belle” Campbell who has not had an easy time of it for the last few month in the pack. Due to no fault of her own but more by association she has been painted and tarnished with a brush that makes her no longer happy in her a pack and because of this she has decided to carry on as best as she can and makes friends with onl

I love a strong kicka$$ heroine and Belle even injured is amongst the best!

I have fallen in love with this series! This book is no exception. In Steel Beauty we are introduced to the Pocono Pack. Belinda from the Halle Pumas ends up being the mate of Rick, the alpha of the Pocono Wolves. I found it interesting because my hubby is from The Poconos. :) As with the Halle Pumas pride this pack is struggling through a change in leadership. Rick is the new alpha and his pack is still going through growing pains.

At first, I only read the book because she was evil [portrayed as ''evil'' more like], & I soooo did NOT expect to love this book ;) [PROOF = I finished it in 3/4 hours.

I thought the writing was really amazing & funny.
I also loved the fact that Gina was outcast & not killed. *evil laugh* I think that's a much more fitting punishment: no pack to guard her.

Definitely a series to read in order. This surprisingly was one of my favorites. Belle is absolutely hilarious and you cannot help but love her. I won't include any spoilers...but...if you don't laugh out loud during the pack meeting part, there is something wrong with you. :D

Buy this one if you are looking for a laugh out loud enjoyable read.... STEEL BEAUTY is the fourth book in this delightful series and revisiting these characters is a pleasure you won't want to pass up. This story is infused with humor, some real kick butt action, a memorable romance and proof that cats and dogs can be friends - and so much more. Belle won me over with her `in your face' attitude and the hilarious way she taunts Gina - as well as Rick. She's not a gal who's going to let anyone g ...more

Well this book earned an additional star because of a certain scene that made me laugh hard (belle and her music choice) and it's my favorite in the halle puma's series

Shifter books are some of my favorite to read, even better is when there is a pairing with 2 different kinds. Usually this leads to all sorts of high jinxs, and that was the case in this one. I loved the way that Rick and Belle got to know each other, her being hurt made things slow way down. Rick's wolf pack was good except for those few trouble makers, but Belle knew just what to do to them. I had tears rolling down my face from laughing at the scene in the restaurant, Belle gave the best smac ...more

I love the characters, the storyline and the author, but at about 65 pages, it's just too short to be acceptable for a series addition. Especially when there was plenty of opportunity for it to be longer.

This is the 4th book in the Halle Pumas series and certainly ties for the best. The heroine, Belinda "Belle" Campbell was a bit of a girl on the losing side in previous books so I was sure I'd like her but I was so wrong. You can't help but root for her and Rick. She's proved herself and been through so much and Rick is just perfect for her.

Rick is the Alpha of the local Wolf pack and yowza - he is beyond yummy! His feelings for Belle are genuine and rich and powerful and you can't help but sigh

I love this series! It's fun, sweet, and hot all at once. Dana does a great job of writing characters you can identify with while also bringing in the great paranormal/shifter element.

I was glad to see Belle get her own during this story. After the first three stories in the series, I thought she deserved a happy ending and Rick seemed to be the perfect guy for her - even if he is a wolf! I really enjoyed her various means of making herself clear and that, despite her injury, she held her own.

Once again there was easy reading but I don't love this series as a whole. I am interested to see how it goes.

Finally Belle has found her place!! After having been Olivia's best friend and getting blamed for her behavior she was still shunned by the rest of the pride. Feeling out of place even though she has few great friends, she is happy that she found her mate, even if his a red wolf. Rick couldn't be happier to have found his mate, only if the rest of the pack agreed. Fighting to keep calm while his mate recovers from her injuries, being separated is hard for Rick. But Belle puts the pack in place a ...more

I didn't expect to like this but it's the funniest I've read so far in the series.

Rick he loves his mate and he cares for her, "he growled at her wince as she stepped forward. "You're in pain." Belle she gives as good as she gets especially where undergarments are concerned, "she nearly groaned as she realized he'd be walking around commando all day. She looked down at the panties in her hand, then looked back at him. With a smirk she tossed them onto the bed, then pulled on her own jeans. His groan was music to her ears." Still have to say Simon and Max's stories are still m ...more

This series is short stories. As a rule I love shorts, but this story I felt could have benefited by a full length presentation. There were a couple sub plots left unfinished, and a lot of back story I would have liked to have been included. (Ben and Dave, and Chela's) Even the main couples story felt incomplete to me, all the elements were there. I loved Belle and Richard and would have liked to let their personalities come out a little more fully.
But, it was still a good story.

I should have more to say about this, but...It was good and short. I will say that even though the author didn't go into detail about it, I did feel like they had more time to fall in love before they had sex than any of the others did. She had months to talk to him and get to know him before hand, and I loved how he found our what her dream was and loved her so that he gave it to her on a silver platter. All in all, it was a cute story and a good ending for good-hearted Belle.

“It’s not like I read your diary or jerked off in your underwear. I hung a few pictures, that’s all.”

Great dialogue... =) But I just couldn't get into it. I liked the other Halle Puma books well enough, but this story doesn't grab me at all. So I don't want to rate it since it's probably a decent book like the others, but I don't know. Give it a shot, though - I think you'll be able to tell pretty early on whether or not you enjoy it.

This is the 4th book in the series, as it goes forward it gets better, in this book we have rick the wolf alpha and belle the puma, after finding that they are mates rick has to leave belle behind with her pride due to her injuries and wait back home till it's the right time to claim her.

The most engaging thing for me was the banter between rick and belle, and her confidence and personality. i laughed out load at how she solved her problems in her new pack.

Belinda Campbell, now known as Belle, is slowly recovering from the broken leg & arm sustained while protecting packmate Sherri in the last book.

Her unclaimed mate Rick, Alpha of the Poconos Wolf pack is having a hard time of it until he can get her out of Halle and to his Ski Lodge.

A jealous female wolf, Gina, wants to be Luna of the pack, and challenges Belle.

This series is very funny with all the cat & dog jokes you can handle. Just love it.
