Reads R to L (Japanese Style). Taming a Beast was never this dangerous!

Leo Aoi looks like a crazy animal with wild eyes--and no one at his new high school will go near him! He does seem to have a special connection with animals though, which intrigues overzealous animal-lover Yuiko Kubozuka. In reality, Leo isn't as frightening as he appears, but Yuiko finds out that he g

A MILLION STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE!

Literally one of the best mangas I've ever read. Better than Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club, MUCH better than Death Note...honestly, it's even better than...wait for it....Soul Eater.

description

Yeah, I know, it's that good. It's all about animals, which I loved, and Leo is insanely adorable. I MUST BUY THIS! I really hate the cover though, I'm so sick of misleading covers. My parents will see this and think "WTF are you reading?!" And really, I think my mom w

I had to get this book after reading about it in a review. It had echoes of Loveless, Volume 1 what with a character named Yuiko and the whole chain imagery. The other main character, Leo, looked a lot like L from Death Note, Volume 1: Boredom.

Yuiko is a ditzy girl who loves animals and is undeterred by the fact that animals don't seem to like her very much. One day, as she's rescuing / getting mauled by a cat who runs up a tree to escape her, she meets Leo, a wild boy covered in blood, who is u

If you need something quick and sweet to put you in a good mood then this miniseries would be it. Told from the point of view of, animal lover, Yuiko – Beast Master was one of those shoujo’s with a unique premise but with all the familiar clichés. But before I tell you what I enjoyed about this story I must say I never would have given it a shot if didn’t already love Motomi Kyoususke’s current series Dengeki Daisy but because I do I did give Beast Master a try and am sorry I did not pick it up ...more

A silly concept, but a fun shoujo manga with a sweet side to it.

Yuiko is a normal high school girl who loves animals. She loves them so much that she tends to smother them and chase them away out of sheer survival instinct. One day after driving a cat up a tree, she meets a strange, wild boy named Leo.

Of course, since this is manga Leo winds up in her school as a new transfer student. He's incredibly scary looking, yet gentle. Can Yuiko befriend Leo, especially when he has a bad habit of going

Oh my gosh. I cannot believe I almost passed this one by. When I read the title and saw the cover I was thinking that it would turn out to be really weird or just frankly, be pretty crappy. But it was highly rated on managafox and I saw it was only two books so I figured I would have nothing to lose. So this review is going to be for both of them! Alrightyyy?

Let me just say, that any prejudices that you have towards the book are probably horribly wrong. No seriously. You just need to read it to

Oh my, what a beautiful story...

This is one of the shortest but most unique mangas I've read in a while.

"Yuiko Kubozuka is a high school girl who loves animals. Unfortunately, animals don't like her and flee away from her whenever she comes near. One night, while trying to save a runaway cat in a tree, she meets a boy with wild hair and scary eyes who saves the cat. The next day, that boy turns out to be Yuiko's new transfer classmate, Leo Aoi. She finds him to be funny and not scary at all, whi

That was an awesome reading. I was only left disappointed because it only has two volumes. But come to think that's exactly what makes this manga so great. Because just in two volumes Motomi gives us an amazing story. That's something that only she can do and that's something that makes her such great mangaka. What I like about her characters especially her female characters is that they are not just typical shoujo girls who are just stupid, shallow chicks. Her female characters are just strong, ...more

Synopsis:

Leo Aoi looks like a crazy animal with wild eyes, and he goes berserk whenever he feels threatened and sees blood. That doesn't stop animal-lover Yuiko Kubozuka from befriending him, however. In fact, Yuiko is the only person Leo will listen to when he has one of his violent fits...

My Thoughts:

This was pretty cute. Yuiko loves animals, but because she smothers them with love, they run away from her or scratch her face up. However, there is one animal that seems to love her unconditional

So far so good ! Just finished reading the first volume of BeastMaster and its adorable. If you like romance, strong heroes that have the tendency to be quirky, silly but sweet heroines, then you might like Beastmaster.Very light, happy reading, ( some situations of peril) nice artwork and just the right touch of romance and fan girl cheering in this volume. Will continue to read series.

This was one of the best mangas i have ever read. I love the drawing style and the character's personalities. The romance between the two characters is very sweet and not forced at all. The story line is hysterical and very well thought. So far i have not been able to find a manga as good as this one.

The translation I read was good. Very clean for a manga and rather enjoyable. I tried one of her other series (Dengeki Daisy) but it was not clean enough for me to continue reading it.

This book is very different from previous mangas that I've read in the past. The first encounter the two had wasn't anything too magical and the protagonist didn't fall head over heels in love with the guy. To tell the truth I think she was a bit frightened by him at first sight. I like that the two actually remain friends for majority of the series and don't start to have a relationship until later on and you're finally ready for it!
The book is slow pace if you're ready for a relationship right

This was good!! I started reading Dengeki Daisy and have been trying to read all the authors books..
I looovvvveee Kyosuke Motomi, and all her books. The cover is misleading, though. There isn't much of a romance factor in the first volume
Except for the fact that all her heroines have the same basic mental and physical traits..... But that isn't a real issue
Still suuupppeerrrr good. Would recommend this to anyone.
This will definetly stay one of my favs...

I thought Beast Master sounded interesting in the same way that Fruits Basket sounded interesting. It sounded like it would be cute with an interesting twist. I was right about that. I’m pretty eager to keep reading this series.

Yuiko loves animals, but they don’t love her back. She’s a little overbearing and it scares them off. Animals love Leo. They’re attracted to him, and he has some kind of sense that tells him what they want and n

This is the story of Yuiko, a girl who scares animals and Leo, a boy who scares humans but attracts animals. Leo's looks scare people instantly and even more so when he goes berserk. You see, when Leo see's blood, he blackouts and his primal instincts take over turning him into a raging beast that is unstoppable, that is until Yuiko comes along. She seems to be the only one capable of bringing Leo back when his animal instincts take over.

This story only has two volumes and is very short. Even th

If a Hilarious romance is what you are after look no further than Beast Master!

This was a fun and lighthearted read and I loved how easy it was to get sucked into the story. It starts out in a school setting like many typical shoujo's, but as the series progresses the focus shifts to their meetings outside of school. This is when we start meeting more wacky characters and we also begin to find out a little bit more of Leo's backstory.

Yuiko is an kind hearted and otherwise normal teenage girl. Th

Amazing

I gave this story a five out of five because it deserved it. It was a great tale about a boy growing up in a rough environment and a girl that understands him in a weird way. I just couldn't put it down and I want to cry because I finished it. Hopefully I can get the next one soon because I'm dying to know what happens. I believe that any person can read this and think it's enjoyable. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I am very glad to have found this manga, it was adorable and totally worth it. First of all, many potential readers may be turned off by the cover depicting chains but don't worry, its very innocent. The manga is about a animal loving girl who meets a guy who was raised in the wild (to summarize) and therefore appears to be very scary but in truth his violent tendencies only come out when he sees blood. The two characters' love story spans only two volumes.

If you are looking for a main girl character that does not cry in the whole volume, you have to read this! For this reason only I think the manga is great. Yuiko is a terrific heroine: does not whine, is nice without being annoying, does not think in boys only **cough as most shoujos girls** and she is funny!

On the other hand, Leo is also a refreshing character: he is sensible (his eyes get watery very easily), he is different (gets violent as a beast, but he is tender with animals); he is very

Itt kezdődik a történet.

Very funny story when an animal lover girl never being liked by animals meet a scare looking boy who acts like animal and no one befriend with him except Yuiko. Well, at least there's an animal-like boy never scared of her. While others judge Leo appearance of violence, Yuiko is different when she tried to be friend with Leo. It's quite weird because I don't think we ever meet someone like Leo except if there's any Tarzan anymore. Although Leo is kind of fierce, animals love him and that really ...more

Really wasn't what I was expecting. But it's still really cute. Love ready about such a friendly guy who would do anything for the ones he loves. Sad that's there's only two volumes in this series. Would of really enjoyed more. But I still look forward to reading the last one :)
