This disappointing volume features three separate fights for the leads and not much else worth mentioning. The art is sometimes hard to follow, particularly in the middle match, and the storytelling is pedestrian.
I suppose it allows the author to introduce the next power-up for each character but it just makes the lesser competition they face all the more tedious.
The sole good news of the volume is that it appears Chad's spanish background actually has some relevance to t More...

What’s left to say about Bleach? Every volume can be summed up with they fought a lot. Seriously, all that happens here is (broken into 3 parts), Ichigo, Uryu & Chad all fight a low level arrancar. Each one holds back, nearly loses then trots out their special new talent. They then clue in the reader by telling the enemy exactly what this new weapon is and how it works (not a very smart move) and proceed to kick butt. Nothing else of note happens. This is why I get this from the library and don’

I LOVE BLEACH!! There is so much action going and, some of the people they encounter are so weird. But they make me smile with some of the things all of these people say. Ichigo and others are still trying to get to Hueco Mundo but they are sill up against some lesser Arrancars who are really trying to get them.
In this one we have Ichigo and Nel are up against opponent Privaron Espada that wants to face Ichigo at full force he doesn't want Ichigo go hold anything back so he can More...

well once you get the idea of the whole concept i.e Soul Society, Shinagami etc...
you will finish one volume within an hour. i mean it is that addictive. talk about a page turner.
it is a great experience to read this series. the whole concept is neatly implemented.
there r lot's of twists and turns to keep you hooked to this series.
so all in all Worth 4.5 stars out of 5.

Tite Kubo, Bleach vol. 29: The Slashing Opera (ViZ, 2001)
While Ichigo is off fighting Barron (see vol. 28), Uryu and Chad are fighting their own fallen espadas, and those battles are the subject of this volume. Uryu faces Cirucci, whose power is only matched by the speed of her defense, while Chad is up against Gantenbainne Mosqueda, the strongman of the bunch (but he has a few tricks up his sleeve). The usual blend of action and humor (there's a mini-story at the end called “Bleach on More...

I loved Ishida in this volume! He was so dashing and handsome. I only rated this volume a 4 because of the way Circci Thunderwitch's last name was spelt. Maybe I'm used to fan translations, but Sanderwich doesn't sound right you know?

Another great addition edition to the Bleach series, filled with plenty of fight sequences and revelations. It is reminiscent of when the protagonists entered the Soul Society, but it still makes for a good read.
