After wading through 40 pages of background and intro, the author finally gets into his story. Though the previous two books were about fighting Middle East terrorists, the final book in the trilogy is about the war on drugs. The change isn't a natural one and feels a little strained. The military action, chase scenes, and whirlwind romances are still very good, but it's not as good as the second book in the trilogy (though still better than the first).
the final of the trilogy, this book is a fitting conclusion to the lives of the characters, which are well developed throughout. While some of the coincidences are a tiny stretch, the intrigue, and the craft of this author are well worth the effort to explore his writing.
