El talento narrativo de Lin Yutang despliega la vida de personajes muy opuestos (el joven millonario Yao Poya, el budista viudo Lao Peng y la adorable Tsui Ma Lin), a quienes la Guerra China conecta, marca e influye en sus futuras decisiones. Detallista, prolija y, sobre todo, muy humana, su lectura paciente lleva a adentrarse en un capítulo doloroso del siglo XX.

Excelente libro !!! Narra una época turbulenta sin dramatismo ni golpes bajos. La volveré a leer porque la disfrute mucho.

Li esse livro em portugues, ha muitos anos. Ha um romance entre uma jovem bonita, mas um tanto estupida, que por conta dos seus envolvimentos amorosos no passado eh procurada pela policia. O outro eh um playboy, muito rico, casado mas pouco interessado na esposa. Entra na historia tambem um budista praticante. A historia se passa durante a guerra entre japao e china. Una Hoja en la Tormenta es el primer libro que leo del conocido autor chino, Lin Yutang.
Mi tía me regaló este libro porque ella lo amó, al igual que otros libros de este autor. Ella me hablo maravillas de él, y me subió las expectativas.

Beautiful and vivid story. You learn a lot about chinese culture and history. I almost felt it's based on a real life experience. Highly recommended.

Slow reading. But enjoyable all the same. It has a lot of descriptions and historical details, which makes it even more interesting.
