-4.5 realmente-

Nos hace conecta...more

Introduction: I was going through a number of books at the library when this tiny treasure caught my eyes. Well, the title and the subtitle fairly intrigued me (since I always loved these kinds of stories anyway), but I guess this is a story that will always make me wonder what the ending would be. Anyway, I’m sure most of us must have asked ourselves this question atleast once in our lifetime: if you could go back in time, what would you change?

Overview: Elliott Cooper is a sixty-year-old famou...more

What would you do if you were given magic pills that allowed you to go back in time and visit your younger self? Would you try to fix the things that had gone wrong in your life? Would you attempt to persuade your younger self to step in and attempt to inhibit major world catastrophes? What would you do if your first trip back resulted in a change you didn't want? How far would you go to set things "right"? Are our destinies pre-written and immune to change? Or can we, in fact, change the course...more

Readers! Marvelous! Just utterly marvelous to read this book. What would we tell ourselves if we could meet ourselves in the future..what choices would we make, how would our future self guide us? :) These are some of the questions which come to mind when reading this story which is so beautifully penned, thought provoking and exciting as well. The book is gripping almost a thriller experience in such a lovely way. I loved the character of the book, he is so devoted to his work and himself but i...more

I think there are books out there that handle time traveling far better. The idea is great although far from fresh and there are inconsistencies of the size of a whale. I was almost forced to read this one and since it was an extremely quick read I have no hard feelings. Plus as one of the reviewers (Jodie) said - the most enjoyable part of the book was mottoes. I do not mean to be mean but most memorable sentence was "“I am interested in the future. It's where I plan to spend the rest of my lif...more

I'm a sucker for time travel books and bought this for my main holiday read. Quickly I discovered two things. Firstly the book owes a lot to the movie Frequency and secondly I really disagreed with a major plot development. I just didn't believe the young Elliot would do what he did. I nearly put the book down but decided to keep reading as I wanted to know how Musso would resolve the time travel aspects. I'm glad I did because I raced through the last fifty pages and I love a book that makes me...more

A not very interesting or particularly well written story. There were just a few touching scenes, and I found the most interesting parts were the quotes at the front of the chapters, and, these aren't written by the author.

The characters are flat and one dimensional and the premise that a doctor dying of lung cancer at 60 who is time traveling back to when he was 30 wouldn't tell his younger self to quit smoking is propesterous when he so evidently does not want to die. Ludicrous.

''Seras- tu la? '' is an amazing book, to say the least. It will haunt you and, trust me, you will be thinking about it long after you read it.
Elliot and Ilena- the main characters- are delicately written and their story will take your breath away. Kudos to Musso for creating such a powerful and at the same time heartbreaking plot.
One of my favorite books ever.
The plot twist at the end will not let you ever forget this book - at least that's my personal experience-. Enjoy it!

the first novel of guillaume musso that i read. i like it very much that i quoted almost every precious words of it. i don't reread it ever once yet i still can remember most of its details. i have to admit that there's something in musso's writing style that charms readers so much that they all have some respect on his works :).

you should read this one. it's precious for anyone who wants to know the reason why love is considered everlasting *smile*.

This is a beautiful romantic story with the element of time travel integral to the plot. Unlike The Time Traveller's Wife, this story is tender and uncomplicated and in my opinion so much the better for it. The characters are people I actually got to care about which made the ending very poignant. If you are thinking about trying it, I would say do. Its a lovely story and I think you could end up quite moved by it.

Umpteenth book by Guillaume Musso that I read and umpteenth book that I read just in one day without stop thinking about what is going to happen in the next pages. So, Monsieur Musso is one of these writers that make me being glued to the pages, because stories of normal people struggling with unbelievable events, when love and friendship take them over. I'd like to suggest these books to everyone.
It's pretty hard to tell the plot without spoiling what is going to happen, if you have already rea...more

Nó rất ý...more

What would you do if you were given magical pills that allowed you to visit a younger version of yourself, and in doing so, see the person you love most one last time? What would you do if you could warn them of upcoming events and thus save the life of the love of your life? This is more or less what is explored in Seras-tu là?.

Elliot Cooper is an accomplished 60 year old surgeon who is generally happy with his life but wishes more than anything else that he could see Ilena just one more time....more

Oh, well... this is me PMSing and reading books that are utterly inappropriate for my present state of mind.
I believe I cried my eyes out just now.

What can I say? Couldn't resist it. There's something in Musso's books that draws me in, and makes me love him and hate him at the same time. Love him for his style, way of coming up with all these crazy, impossible ideas, and especially for making them seem so... real and plausible somehow. And, hate him for causing all these disturbing feelings, que...more

hahaha...

One of the most popular authors in France today. From his early childhood with reading books and plays, Guillaume Musso became convinced that one day, he too would write novels. After finishing high school in France, Guillaume Musso left for the United States at the age of 19. He spent several months in New York City, living with other young foreigners and earning his money by selling ice-cream. H...more
