As always, I think that Carolyn Myss has some great insights. I found this book a little light on content however. Reading her books always inspires me to bring my actions in alignment with my ideals...and I agree with her central tenet, that we can't just stop with the idea that "life is energy" we need to recognize the sacredness of the energy that is life and that healing from illness is something that happens on a spiritual or mystical level...not intellectual or psychological. So,...more
This book found me through a good friend. I felt very connected to it and it gave me many things to ponder. I cannot summarize because the thoughts are really deep, but if you are looking for a good read that helps you understand the relationship between mind, body, spirit and healing, I would highly recommend this book for you.
A good friend told me about Caroline Myss and I'm so grateful. I love her common-sense teachings about spirituality and the power each of us have to embrace our own healing. I've listened and watched her teachings on Defying Gravity and look forward to reading the book.
Caroline Myss always inspires you to be a better person. She really is forefront in the energy healing arena. This book shows how important grace is for healing. How your spritual needs are so very important.
Wow! A book that defies age old rules, paradigms, thought patterns...and succeeds!!! I am already reading it for the second time. Smart, even brilliant...and potentially life changing.
If you have ever read anything by Myss, then you know you are getting yourself into some martial grade tough love. Tough lady says what she thinks. I always find her interesting.
I love everything about this book and reading it is changing my life. Caroline teaches here how to learn to live in a field of grace.
You can transform your life by learning how to live in concert with the source within.

I enjoyed this book, but did not think it was as good as some of her other works. In fairness, I'm not sure if it's because of the writing or if it just wasn't the right book for me at this time.
What I liked best was that she discussed the 7 graces in depth, linking them to the 7 chakras. In addition to clear descriptions of the graces, she also provided prayers for each of them.

I found this book to be just as helpful as the other books by her. I enjoyed it.
This book was so good, I need to read it again before I return it to the library. She is always very timely...
ok. not a big fan of hers anymore.
so far so good
I think this is her best book to date.
favorite quote from book: "make no judgments, have no expectations; give up the need to know why things happen as they do"
Be present every day. This moment, this day will never come again.

Although I finished this book on retreat in January, I use it almost every day to re-center myself. This is not a book to read and put away somewhere. It is a guide to identification of passions that drive us on a daily basis and the grace needed to balance those passions.
Just ordered this book. Looking forward to understanding another approach to wellness - an approach that draws not upon reason alone, but also upon activating the soul through a release of all that does not serve us well.
Pre-ordered this & now it has arrived! Reading this in preparation of hearing Caroline Myss speak on this topic next month in Pasadena.
This book contained a number of intriguing concepts, but basically zero practical advice.
I love Caroline Myss. May have to buy it so I can highlight.
Another excellent book by Myss. Hope to study with her someday.
