A guy at the Y gave me this book. I know Linda Andre very well and she is a speaker at the annual conference of the National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy. Mostly history to this point, although the history of psychiatry is plenty frightening.
This is a hard book to read, as Andre's pain and suffering is obvious. At the same time, having read a lot of the existing literature on ECT, I suspect there isn't as clear cut a "conspiracy" on the part of ECT practitioners in existence as Andre suggests.
