I read this for my Ecological Economics course. This one was extremely interesting, proposing a public sky trust in which all citizens would earn dividends by virtue of existing. There's a lot of potential with the idea for equity and reduction of emissions, but I doubt such a system will ever be set into place. It's just too far off the beaten track for politicians to ever find it palatable.

Very basic primer on how free-market principle of ownership, combined with government stewardship can protect the environment. Uses Alaska's natural resource trust as a model on how to assign "ownership" to the right to clean air.
