This is the 3rd book in a series but it is the only one I read.

Dee Kelley was recovering at Jackson's Retreat. Three years ago she seen her husband and 8 year old son die after a car accident they were all in.
A fellow writer helped her through but when he was murdered a year later she went into the darkness of deep depression. Eventually her parents brought her to Jackson's Retreat. Her dead friend had started this retreat for writers. She finally came out of her depression and was getting back
