Another good one in this series. While they have been jumping back and forth in time through the portals, this book gets more detailed in some of the historical settings. You start to see some of the "alternate" histories that were part of the "memories" until the Kings were able to make their "adjustments" to history. While I do like the usual twists and turns that are in this book, like they are in all of the other books in this series. I was disappointed in a r More...

I started to suspect this was turning into christian fiction & after the hospital scene, it seems I was correct. I would not have read these if I had known that was the case & feel that these should be more clearly labeled. I am quite frustrated I have spent money on books I normally would not have purchased and I still have half of this & 1 more to go. Very aggravated at the time and money I have invested, knowing I will more than likely be very unsatisfied with the conclusion of the series if More...

It took me until the 5th book in this series to realize why I liked it so much and why it was familiar - Quantum Leap! Kind of the same premise, just a few different twists thrown in. And strangely enough, I'm also watching the Quantum Leap series now....Fate? Who knows....

So, I love a good YA series, and this is definitely a great one. One complaint though - I really don't think that every single person remembers history as accurately as ALL the people in the book. Everyone kno More...

The first few books seemed all over the place, and I wasn't sure if I was even going to finish the series. Glad I kept going. This book is really starting to tighten things up, giving us an idea of what the heck is actually going on while leaving enough questions unanswered that I am definitely looking forward to seeing how this wraps up. I'm enjoying the mixture of history and fantasy as well, though some of the characters fall a little flat. Whirlwind is definitely titled appropriately. I More...

The title was very apt for this one. After reading it, there's only one word I thought of: more. More violence and gore, more dangerous, more questions...and I want to read more of them.

This closely follows the previous book and though I wasn't able to finish it in a day, it's not for lack of interest. The portals were getting more...difficult to escape to from a certain world/time and I liked how David and Xander changed the course of history by doing what Jesse advised - to get the d More...

After reading the past 4 books in this series immediately following each other, i feel like i am finding flaws in them more often. Not that they are repetitive in any way, but they always, ALWAYS start with something crazy happening, get kinda calmed down in the middle, then end with another time traveling occurrence. I'm not knocking this set up either, it's pretty fun and helps push the story along, giving that you know they're going to some crazy world in a couple of pages, even if you're kin More...

Book 5 in the series and still a ton of questions that are unanswered. Jesse is now in the hospital clinging to life, so he hasn't been much help in solving the mysteries of the house - the King boys do meet the young Jesse in one of their adventures. Nice introduction to Atlantis, especially for those students who may not know much about it. Hopefully Book 6 will bring this series to a close that we all enjoy.

I finally finished this series , they are short books, but they are so fast paced that you are left kind of tired and exhausted reading them... I couldn't handle Davids broken arm constantly being hit and banged up in all his adventures, I thought who could handle that much pain...but I did like how this whole story was very family focused , I liked how the brothers cared about each other and worked together to save their Mom. It was an interesting and fun series

This is book 5 of the Dreamhouse Kings series.

I am getting very attached to this family! The action/suspense in this book continues from the last book, and I just can't put them down. The series has evolved into such an amazing, complex story. I find myself wondering if the story really can be finished with just one more book...

Full of adventure and intrigue. Very vivid and imaginative characters, settings, situations. The reading level felt appropriate to young adult, but possibly too vivid for middle school. But then, I'm a very visual reader and Robert's descriptions are intense! I enjoyed the "real" world feel to the fantasy world.

Wow! Wow! What an awesome ride! From the Civil War to Hannibal crossing the Alps to a very unusual version of Antlantis - these two brothers have definitely been in a whirlwind of adventure. Can't wait to read the next book!

WOW! The title says it all. This book and series is a Whirlwind! This is the most exciting, thrilling page turner I have read in a long time. It puts Harry Potter and the Eclipse series to shame. I want a movie! I can't wait to see how it ends in Book 6!

The Dreamhouse series continues. This is one of the better books in the series, an action packed page turner. In the span of 24 hours, David and Xander travel from the Civil War to a medieval torture chamber to the Alps and the middle of a deadly battle involving Hannibal and, finally, to Atlantis. They are learning how to change history for the better but are no closer to finding their mother. In fact, they may be stuck in Atlantis forever.

This book was amazing! I got to learn more about Taksidian then ever before! The ending was so nuts! I was so shocked, I couldn't even guess, my guess was way off. This book really pulled all the pieces together from the last few books and helped anything that was confusing make more sense. I started this book and it was pretty slow, but it picked up the pace really quickly and by then there was no way I could put this book down! I would take it out in class to read for the few minutes before th More...

As the King family continues to look for their mom, it seems that their adventures are escallating. They can't get a break or a breath as now the boys Xander and David are stuck in the past. Each time they find a portal it doesn't take them back to the house like usual. It takes them into other times, one more dangerous than the last.

They've also been told my their uncle Jesse that it is the Kings' destiny to change and fix the past to ease the suffering of man. No pressure!

May contain Spoilers!!!!

These books really aren't that entertaining. I just want to find out the end. At least we finally figure out where Taksidian came from, Atlantis. And how he stole the mother and grandmother to hand over to the kings. Seeing how Atlantis gets destroyed, I'm guessing he is trying to find a way to fix it or make a new world like it. I don't really like the way Liparulo paints Atlantis, so evil and cruel. At least it's one I havn't read of though. Makes it m More...
