92 Pacific Boulevard

Cedar Cove, Washington

Dear Reader,

I'm not much of a letter writer. As the sheriff here, I'm used to writing incident reports, not chatty letters. But my daughter, Megan--who'll be making me a grandfather soon--told me I had to do this. So here goes.

I'll tell you straight out that I'd hoped to marry Faith Beckwith (my onetime high school girlfriend) bu

I love these books and the characters, but I almost have forgotten what was going on from a year ago and now I will have to wait another year for the next book,

I enjoyed this book, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite of the whole bunch. Troy & Faith leave me a little cold. I think it's sweet that high school sweethearts get back together all these years later, but the whole build up on this relationship just frustrated me. I was happy Megan befriended Faith though.

I love, love, love Mack & Mary Jo's relationship & can hardly wait to get to their HEA.

I'm interested to see how Linc & Lori's relationship unfolds. Tanni & Shaw's r...more

Weather you are a new reader or an old fan of Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series, you will not be disapointed in this new addition. Established fans will visit with old familiar friends while getting to know new neighbors. However if you are new to the series, don't worry, Debbie Macombers writing style will allow you to get to know each character's back story enought to get you caught up on thier lives without boring established series readers.

Troy Davis, Sheriff of Cedar Cove, has plenty on his mind as he investigates the case of skeletal remains found in a cave outside of town. While he is thrilled that his daughter Megan is pregnant, he is saddened by the rift in his relationship with Faith Beckwith and is anxious to repair it. He is worried about Faith’s welfare as someone keeps vandalizing her house. He is also worried about his friend Olivia Griffin’s battle with breast cancer. Other Cedar Cove residents also have their own issu...more

I can't believe I have to wait 12 more months for book number 10!! The wait in between books in the series makes me crazy. I love these characters, I love this book, I love this series, I want MORE!! Great book and the end leaves me desperately wanting to read the next book. September 2010 can't come soon enough as far as reading the next book is concerned.

My only complaint, which still didn't keep me from giving it a five-star rating, is that some of the incidents and/or relationsh...more

92 Pacific Boulevard is where Sheriff Troy Davis lives. His wife had passed away a little over a year ago. His daughter, Megan, is married and now expecting her first child after a miscarriage. Troy has become reacquainted with his high school sweetheart, Faith Beckwith, and has started dating her. Recently Faith's home has been vandalized and many more attempts to break in. At first it seemed personal, according to Troy. But lately he suspects not so personal to Faith but in another way. ...more

I love to read Debbie Macomber's books because I always come away feeling a bit more positive about life and people in general. This book is her latest in the Cedar Cove series. The fictional town of Cedar Cove is based on her own town and at the end of August they hosted Cedar Cove Days and from what I've read it sounds like it was a big success (I did not attend the event).

This series started 9 years ago and she releases a new installment at the end of the summer each year. The num...more

In this book we return to Cedar Cove and pick up where 8 Sandpiper Way and A Cedar Cove Christmas left off. Sheriff Troy Davis is lamenting the fact he let his first love go for the second time. Faith Beckwith may still love Troy, but he let her go and she has no intention of giving him another chance.

This is supposed to be a story about Faith and Troy, but it seems that all the other characters from Cedar Cove take over the story. Olivia, Grace, and Charl...more

This is #9 in a series. I haven't read all of the Cedar Cove books in the series, so I may have missed a few details. Doesn't matter. This is still a good story. LOTS of characters with lots of situations to be discussed and resolved.

This is set in a small town near Seattle in modern day. There's some romance, some mystery, and mostly just everyday folks going about their everyday activities. We get to peek in and see what's happening. It's fun!

I love revisiting Cedar Cove but I think there are currently too many characters and ongoing situations in the book to make it a satisfying read. All it would take me to get into the next book is one unresolved story line. As it is, there were too many loose ends at the end of the book, and so many new charcters that my head was swimming. I love Debbie, but I think this far into the series, I would rather stick with the existing characters and have new plots.

in this tenth book in the Cedar Cove series. We catch up with all of our friends from Cedar Cove and make a few new ones. Who is vandalizing 204 Rosewood Lane? Do Faith and the Sharrif get back together? There's also a surprise wedding... It's a page-turner that you'll want to finish in as few sittings as possible. Oh, and for anyone who is curious it does look like there going to be a number ten. pay attention to the closing chapters of the book to see if you can catch the title

I have enjoyed getting to know the people of Cedar Cove through this series. Sometimes the stories are stretched out over several books, and can become frustrating when you are waiting for the next book. However, in the end the wait is worth it. I would recommend this series to anyone who is looking for light reading and who enjoys stories of normal relationships rather than the "passionate" unrealistic stories that are portrayed in popular fiction.

I always love reading these books.

The 9th book in the series is as good as the others.

This book follows Mary Jo, after she has her baby. She winds up living next door to Mack and their romance develops, but will they stay together?

The sheriff also has to solve the mystery of bones found in Cedar Cove, while he deals with the problem of someone trying to break into Faith's home.

We also follow Teri as she is going to deliver triplets.

It is a cute book about lost loves, a little mystery, some illness, etc., etc., It is a good, non-heavy, book to read between those heavy novels like the Penman books. It is a quick read and it helps clear your mind for the more heavier stuff. Of course there will be a sequel but not until next September and I will certainly buy it and read it because I want to know what happens to Linc and Lori, Rachel, Bruce and Jolene, Mack and Mary Jo, and more.

Perhaps I jumped into the middle of the pool, having not read any of the other Cedar Cove series, but I'm not sure I will now. I found the writing scarcely adequate and was not really drawn to the characters. Of the two "mysteries" one was a very minor storyline which was never really explored and the other dragged throughout the book and ended by telling who did it --- but it was a total let down. Duh. Reminded me of Dallas' "It was a dream" story. The romantic lives of...more

How refreshing it is to read a story featuring so many characters without there being bad language or sordid sex scenes. This was my first reading of a Debbie Macomber novel and, although I prefer historical novels, I had this book read in 24 hours. It makes a great light read, and with the chapters being nice and short, it made it easier to follow when time for reading was short. I think I will read some more of her novels in the future.

I really enjoyed the Blossom Street Series, so I decided to branch out into some of Debbie Macomber's other series. Part of the problem may have been that I read the 10th book in the series so I was behind on a lot of the stories, but I didn't find myself connecting with these characters as much. Debbie Macomber is still a nice gentle read, but I don't know that I will pick up other books in this series.

Another enjoyable book and this time I was able to figure out one of the "mysteries" long before it was revealed. The other, though, was quite a surprise but that part of the story was wrapped up almost too tidily. One of the things about this author that is really starting to bother me is that she does not seem to know how to properly use "bring" and "take." That is really a pet peeve of mine and you hear the mistakes everywhere. I expect better of authors.
Kathie
I don't think I have ever read any Debbie Macomber's books before and thought I would try this one since it was rated higher than her others. What a disappointment. I believe the author was trying to introduce every inhabitant of the small town. Although there were two events that raised some interest and added a little mystery to the story they were wrapped up rather hurriedly near the end of the book. Most characters were very sketchily developed. There were two couples who hastily decide...more

I really like this series. They are quite predictable, but sometimes that is not such a bad thing. She has a huge cast of characters, so if you are interested in reading them definitely start at the beginning of the series. I like that there are so many characters because depending on where I am in life or what mood I am in I can identify with or relate to at least one of them. All in all I have really enjoyed this series.

As with the other books in this series I enjoyed this book also. I am a little bit sad that I have now read all of the books in this series that have been written. I started with the first book in July and now finished the last book that was just published. It has been fun to see how each character evolves and the new ones that are added along the way. I will definitely read the next one that come out next fall.
Leona
I enjoy this series so far....little sadder than the others with a young boy's death 30 years ago and sad how it may have happened, but you'll never know, but understand the details leading to it. Happiness in the birth of triplets, pregnancies, and of course love! As I said this series is great, but have to wait till Sept 2010 before the next one comes out to continue the the story line.
Melissa
92 Pacific Boulevard has Faith's house being vanderlized. It also has Mary Jo moving into a condo that Mac has bought even though she doesn't know that he owns it. Tanni's mom is trying to get a scholarship for Shaw so that they spend less time together. The book made me really eager to read the next in the series.

Spring Clark
I really like Debbie Macomber books. For the most part they are clean books about life, romance and sometimes a little mystery. Her fictional town of Cedar Cove seems ideal and makes me want to visit there. I had heard this was going to be the last book in the series and was glad to find out that more books are on their way.

I hae always totally enjoyed everything Debbie Macomber writes. This book is no exception. My ONLY complaint is the next is the series won't come out for another year. By now readers of the Cedar Cove series know all the main characters intimately and it is like reconnecting with old friends to pick up a new book.
Kathy
I really enjoyed this warm and touching book of relationships and love. It also included a couple of mysteries. I like the way Debbie Macomber can create realistic, warm characters and let you enter their lives on a very personal manner. It was a fun book to cuddle up with during a cold dreary weekend.

I realize this is part of a series, but it really felt like catching a random episode of a bad soap opera. The first third of the book was like, "Previously on the days of our lives...." There were too many characters, and too little development besides the fact that they were all, in some way, connected to somebody else in the story.
Stacy
This is the 9th book in the Cedar Cove series. In this book we visit with Troy Davis sheriff of Cedar Cove. He is trying to patch things up with Faith. We also follow Terri as she gets ready to have her babies. Another great book in the series. This is a comfort read for me.

Troy Davis is such a gentleman who just needs to be loved, the constant brush off he receives from Faith just makes you want to knock some sense into the characters. Very cute high school sweetheart loved lost story though. As with all Cedar Cove stories I was happy to read this one ; )
