Had to read it for my German booklist for the KDS-Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom, which exam I did in Singapore in 1997. Nice book, very readable. My book had a different cover thought (with the same ISBN).
What was Europe like right after the end of WWII? Refugees trying to settle.
I loved this book, i love books about the holocaust their so sad.
