Sometimes love knocks softly...and sometimes it breaks down your door.
Anne's morning starts like any other normal day--and ends in a race for her life. The surprise that interrupts her regular date with a latte looks a lot like Frankenstein, except this monster is for real. And it chases her straight into the arms of two mouthwatering hunks who whisk her away from everythi...more

I love Anya's writing style. There is not much to say but story was very exciting. İ likes how story forming, but i must confess i dont care about how "i love you"s are used so genereous.
Van and Caleb are, if you will alien, in their world there is a femele famine and The Oracle chooses some wimen from earth who will be perfect match and bring girl children for these men.
Anne is one of them Caleb and Van thakes her from earth and bring her to their world.İf they did not she will be killed by gu...more

While Anya Bast's Wicked Enchantment was one of my top surprise pleasure reads so far this year and totally turned me on to Anya Bast as an author, Taken, the short erotic paranormal romance didn't quite do it for me.
Whether due to the limiting nature of the length of the story (it's quite short) or due to my admitted lack of true enchantment with menage relationships (it has to be exceptionally well written menage for me to enjoy it - and I've read them), I found Taken to be rushed and harried...more

“Taken” is described as a paranormal romance with a ménage a trios theme. However, I would say it is could well be considered as sci-fi / fantasy.
Caleb and Van, two handsome men from the planet Harmon, rescue Anne an earth woman when she is being pursued by one of their enemies. Anne initially believes she has been kidnapped by two “bat shit” crazy hotties when they tell her they are from another planet and she is their soul mate. Harmon has been at war for centuries and the women of the planet...more

I have read numerous Anya Bast novels, and usually find they have a very good storyline and are well written, this book however was rather different to what I have read from her before. A bit far-fetched I thought in terms of the storyline, but if you put that aside and just see it as a purely imaginative piece of work then it was a light-hearted, fun read I guess. After all who wouldn't want two sexy, adoring, hunks to fulfil their every need, probably a fantasy lots of us may have dreamt of hu...more
I liked the general concept for the story, but I think it could have been executed better. I would have liked more detail, more danger and more sensual scenes. There could have interaction with other human females taken and so many other things. I would have had the guys meeting her at least casually before the abduction happened. I liked all the characters ok (liked not loved), but I think I liked Van of the guys better.
It's a very quick read but it doesn’t develop the characters really at all. You learn a little bit about where they come from but that really is it. I like books where you learn about them more and there more developed. I also didn’t like the plot nothing really happened and I couldn’t really figure out the climax where the book has you on the edge of your seat and your wondering what's going to happen. You really know what's going to happen all the way throw no surprises. Not one I would read o...more
This was a short novella story. I've read a couple of Anya Bast's works and I've enjoyed them. I would have liked this story a little more if it had been just a little bit longer. It seemed that it stopped a little abruptly so by the time I'd gotten into it it was over. One moment Anne is having coffee the next she is being chased by a Frankenstein-like man. Caleb and Van appear on the scene and carry her away to their planet where there is more men than women. Not a bad place IMO *giggles*. Cal...more
Just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm just not that into aliens.
