Minor plot spoilers, nothing too detailed

This was exactly the kind of read I needed right now. Fun, sexy, light but not fluffy, awesome characters, believable plot – indeed, it was exactly what I needed!

Bryce Ryder is a celebrity chef with a playboy reputation whose mouth has gotten him into trouble with his fans. His ratings are sinking and he’s about to lose the financial backing necessary to open a new restaurant. What he needs now is some serious damage control.

Enter Jenna McCabe, Public Rel...more

Ohhh, my heart starts to race just thinking about this memorably sexy read! Oh God, if you like a bad boy hero who specializies in dirty talk and dirty, sexy deeds, then you will love, love, love this book! This book certainly lives up to its title, let me tell you. Oodles and oodles of hot, steamy, sensual, passionate, no-holds-barred sex--all expertly related by the author with some smokin' hot, dirty dialogue and vivid descriptions that make the pages come alive! And thankfully, it's not all...more

Whew, did this book ever live up to its name! I needed a glass of water and a towel the whole time I was reading.
This was a great story with characters and secondary characters that I loved right away, despite Jenna's tendency to jump into a fit before she got her facts straight. However annoying, it was easy to understand considering Bryce’s track record with women. This is a classic best friend’s to lovers’ story, and WELL worth the read!!!!!

I read this one with my husband for a steamy read on our cruise, not that we needed to create any mind you but sometimes its fun to read together. We're both hoping to read the next one in what looks to be a series. I'm not sure where to start except to say wow as my first thought and its a wonder Bryce isn't tubby. Maybe the only time he eats is with Jenna. Its amazing the amount of times you hear or learn about the couples that kept getting it wrong because they didn't see what was in front of...more

Sizzling hot, laugh-out-loud funny and heartbreakingly beautiful!

It was perfect. Love scenes were so different to other erotic novels. And God, NO ONE can talk dirty like Bryce does! Their thoughts at the beginning were just breathtaking. Thank God I didn't to go to work today; I couldn't have laughed, cried or enjoyed its hotness if I did.

P.S. Will there be a book for Trey and Sarah? They deserve one. Soon.

A miss... HUGE miss! Sorry, but this is so wrong that it's "I need to do a review" level of wrong.

Here goes...
Bryce is a chef with some reputation trouble, caused by his “I like my women the way I like my recipes: fast, easy and full of variety.” blabber, that made his fans turn their backs on him. He needs a U-turn in his career, so he calls his friend Jenna - PR girl - to make a strategy. The same Jenna - plain Jane, shy and insecure - that's in love with him for ten years... ever since she sp...more

The book was fun, fast, hot, sweet and everything in between. It is a super fast read (after pg. 40 for me) I recommend it highly.

WHAT NO BOOK FOR TREY????? I can't stand this! Although Bryce and Jenna got an HEA I still need more from Trey. I love him!

Note to Renwick - Pick up that pen. This mans story needs to be told!
Is Sarah to be his HEA? What the hell happened with the two of them?
The banter and chemistry between them is smoking off the page!

I'm giving this book 2 stars because of a MC

I liked Bryce, I truly did. He was an interesting character and I enjoyed reading about him. So the reason I'm giving this book 2 stars isn't him.
It's Jenna. Yes. I'm giving a book 2 stars because I despised her. Truly, I felt like hitting her upside the head 10 times a minute. She is so goddamned stubborn, refuses to believe that Bryce actually cares and she liked to piss him off... just because.

I would've given the book 3 stars, because the writing...more

Oh! I just love a good love story! This was such a sexy and fun book to read. Jenna and Bryce have known each other their entire lives. Now, they are all grown up with successful careers, but neither one of the has a true love to share their success with... Of course you already know that they are each other's true love. But RELAX! I didn't really spoil anything because their is so much that happens in between that makes the story so delicious.

Oh please! Please! Please! Tell me there's gonna be...more

I really enjoyed reading this book.
I'm a sucker for best-friends-turn-lovers stories, because my husband and me were that kind. So I am familiar with some problems and doubts that happen. :)

Bryce Ryder is a fabulous chef so prepare yourself for mouthwatering description of food. And he has a sweet tooth, so there will be a lot of chocolate and caramel and... If you are on a diet, maybe better save this book for later date. ;)

Chemistry between him and Jenna is smoking hot. There...more

I am in lust with Bobby Flay. And Bobby Deen. It’s not the name, though I never really noticed the similarity….it’s a shit-hot man who can cook.

Bryce Ryder (love the name!) IS shit-hot. And he CAN cook….so he’s starting this book with major brownie points. Then he opens his mouth…and whoosh. His brownie points fly out the window. He’s a manwhore (OF COURSE) and doesn’t trust women (of course) and his best friend in in love with him and has been forever, but he doesn’t see her (of course).

I got about half way through the book and couldn't continue. The heroine, Jenna, had been in love with the hero, Bryce, since high school. She finally decided that she wanted to make him realize he loved her, so she came up with a plan. Then she gets talked into a new plan by a coworker, which was essentially playing hard to get. This meant having sex with him while repeatedly telling him she didn't want to date him and acting like an utter jerk. For some reason other guys started paying attenti...more

First - the title! When I came across this I just had to read this. And here's why.. You know that song by Nelly - Hot in Herre? My friend and I have a joke with this one - whenever we see a hot guy or if there's some sexual tension in the air or if we just feel like it - we sing it. And just imagine the look on people's faces! Ha! lol :P But the title has so little connection with the story - it actually gets really sweet later.
Now about the book - it started really good. I even thought I would...more

My Review:
Bryce is a celebrity chef whose reputation is going down the tubes after a magazine mis-quotes him. Jenna is the owner of a PR firm. They have grown up together and been best friends forever, so it's a natural conclusion for Bryce to hire Jenna to re-work his image. But when they meet for dinner to discuss options, Bryce quickly finds himself distracted by this sexy, confident, collected business woman who he has never seen as anything more than his best friend. Now, he is imagining al...more

I don’t usually care for a friends-to-lovers story, but I have to say that Sophie Renwick has penned a pretty darned good one in this book with likable characters, sizzling love scenes, and a little fun along the way that really appealed to me. The fact that I love to cook and the hero in the book is a chef is an added bonus. [Gwen ed.: this cover is making me drool all over my keyboard.]

Too many conflicts based on inaccurate assumptions and vague communication. The story was weak. I wanted it to be over.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
There were two events causing the couple to have two “big fights.” Both events were too predictable to be interesting. For example, someone sends an email to Bryce which would hurt Jenna if she saw it. Does Bryce delete it? No. Does Jenna see it later and break up with Bryce? Yes. She assumed that Bryce agreed with what the other person wrote which was not tru...more

Bryce Ryder doesn't know how his life got so screwed up. He's a mega-popular celebrity chef with his own restaurant and cooking show. He thought he had everything worked out since his time with the wicked witch Chrissy, who almost cost him his beloved restaurant as well as all of his savings. Now, some crazy reporter is spreading lies that could cost him his dreams and his plans. Thank God Jenna is here, she always saves the day, she'll make it right. If she can just come up with a plan that he...more

Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick is a title that has been sitting like forever in my to-be-read pile. Somehow I ended up reading a couple of pages into this romance penned by author Sophie Renwick aka Charlotte Featherstone that managed to grab my attention and hold on to it just because of the hero Bryce Ryder of whom I could not get enough.

27 year old Jenna McCabe who is to turn 28 that very night is a woman on a mission. That is the mission of making the man who has been in her heart for 10 long...more

First of all....WOW on the cover. How hot is this guy? Scorching! I loved this book. The heroine was shy yet sexy and sassy when she needed to be. The hero was yummy enough to swallow...seriously. I've figured out how to describe this author's writing style, no matter if she is writing as Featherstone or Renwick. Ladies, you know that moment before the orgasm? Come on, we all know that glorious, euphoric few seconds before our bodies uncoil and take the plunge into tiny blissfull seizures. Well,...more

I loved, loved, LOVED this book.

What's not to like about a sexy cheff who knows how to play with food?

This story was sexy, fun, and heartbreakingly romantic. I trully enjoyed to see how Bryce and Jenna went from friends to lovers and had an awesome time getting to know all the great characters of this book.

I really hope Sophie Renwick is writing Sarah and Trey's story right now, 'cause i kinda fell in love with the older Ryder brother already.

WOW! This book was HAWT! Where can I find my own Bryce? ;)

I was going to write a review, but several of my GR friends have already written great reviews and I agree with all of them. Plus, I'm feeling lazy, LOL.

So, I'm just going to share with you one of my favorite scenes:

Bryce: "I came in here, not knowing what I was doing. Everywhere I looked, everything, it just brought me back to you. Everything in this house, this kitchen, is a reminder of you — of us. It’s the memories of the past — it’s

This was a great friends to lovers read for those of us who like our sweet romance with a bit more heat and wow did things get hot:).

Bryce and Jenna have known each other for years but have never got past the friends stage. Bryce needs Jennas help to get him out of a predicament and her business skills are called upon. Both them start to realize what the other means to them and with (unsolicited) help of some mischievous matchmaking from Bryces brother and Jennas sister (for Bryce) and some "ma...more

I devour these kind of romance novels like candy. Usually they're pretty formulaic through-out. This one is nice in that the female lead, Jenna, isn't a skinny wisp of nothing who flutters around her man. Don't get me wrong, she's been in love with Bryce since she was a kid and she's set out to get him, but she isn't bowled over by his skills in bed (and in the shower, and in the alley). Bryce is alpha without being archaic and domineering. While he's anti-commitment at first, once he realizes h...more

Jenna's always had a thing for Bryce and she's decided that she's finally going to let Bryce know how she feels. Bryce on the other hand likes sex with no strings because of a previous bad relationship.

I'm an erotic romance writer, (I also write as Charlotte Featherstone) who loves to cook, look through recipe books, read and daydream!

I'm not a domestic goddess, and usually avoid housework like the plague!

I enjoy hearing from readers and talking about great books.

Some of my favorite authors are JR Ward, Shayla Black, Lisa Kleypas, Laura Lee Gurhke and Mary Balogh.

“Parting her sex, he stroked her clitoris with the tip of his forefinger. She moaned and twisted, but he held her in place with one hand on her hip as he penetrated her deep and slow. Over and over he stroked her clit, finding the rhythm she liked, and soon she was riding him hard and wanton, just as he hoped she would.” 3 people liked it
“Bryce!” Jenna heard the arousal and need in her voice as Bryce thrust into her. His breathing was harsh, and she looked over her shoulder and saw that his gaze was fixed on his c#ck entering her.
