Honestly, I expected more from the talented critics and reviewers assembled for this edition. The album reflections are interesting in their personal resonance, but the critical pieces contain a bit too much Dylan-worship. I do however recommend the essay "Bob Dylan as Song-Writer" by Anthony Decurtis.

I got a kick out of the fact that is part of a series of aimed at helping students understand key figures of American culture, history and literature. So Dylan is more than a singer? Absolutely. A very nice collection of essays by a variety of well-informed writers.
