An 'I liked it' for variety - Lots of Little Bits Of Love With Just A Hint Of Fang,

There were two stories in this that were very good. First of these is 'Perdition'. That was truly romantic in the adult sense, and non-soppy. The writing was stellar, a true winner. The other was 'I Need More You'. Very good, in a completely different style, and very thought provoking. The rest were an odd assortment of styles, mostly Mills and Boon style juvenile fantasy clothed with vampires and the general supernatural. The other one about Doc Holliday was good as well, but I can't remember t...more
This book was borrowed specifically for Jaye Wells' Vampsploitation. This is a pretty good collection of different authors. Some of them I recognized and others which were new to me. I'm only going to mention the ones that really stood out and I enjoyed.
The Murder King's Woman by Jamie Leigh Hansen was probably my favourite one. It was interesting to me and I wish there was more to this world. I did look this author up and unfortunately, there are no other books in this world. I enjoyed this wor...more

1. Jordan Summers - "Paris After Dark" - I can't remember, did i enjoy this, or was I just bored by it?

This was mostly just a 'meh' anthology for me. Despite the title, most of these aren't romance stories at all, and many of them were very weird. And two Doc Holliday stories in the same 'vampire' anthology? Odd.
There were a handful of stories I though were good.
Love Bites by Angie Fox has a vampire princess looking for a way out of a second arranged marriage.
The Murder King's Woman by Jamie Leigh Hansen has a young woman rescuing her former rescuer.
Vampsploitation by Jaye Wells wasn't romantic,...more

This is one of the most consistently good anthologies I've read in a long time. There's not a single dud among these stories and I love the unique takes on vampire lore. Every one of these stories breaks out of the familiar vampire trope and explores some rather interesting new ideas. I say that the editor did an excellent job of selecting authors and stories. Well worth my money and it's actually won a spot in my reread pile.
Also good to know I've never read any other stories by these authors...more

Once again Trisha has given us Vamp lovers a wide selection of short stories from a variety of talented authors. I must admit that I liked this book more than I did the first, this time round I enjoyed 7 out of the 25 stories. These included; Blood and Thyme (Camille Bacon-Smith), Into the Mist For Ever (Rosemary Laurey), Love Bites (Angie Fox), The Murder-King's Woman (Jamie Leigh Hansen), Crimson Kisses (Diane Whiteside), Trust Me (Stacia Kane), and Point of No Return (Jennifer St.Giles).

Whenever you read a collection of short stories there will be some you really like and others you don't so it's difficult to give an overall rating. There were a few of this collection that were really not my thing and others which were brilliant. The rest (most of the stories) were enjoyable. So as far as I was concerned it was a good collection. There was a wide variety of stories in this collection from fairly traditional vampire tales to more unusual versions, so overall I think there will b...more
Some stories in this book I really enjoyed. Others, I couldn't even finish. Several authors had bad grammar and even worse spelling. Some stories were very outrageous. I tend to be a traditional vampire fan. So reading about a vampire tv station and game show...not my cup of tea.
This book had vampires, fairies, demons and more. Some stories were fantastic though.

Note that this review if only for Larissa Ione’s Eternity Embraced and Jaye Wells’ Vampsploitation.
I only got this book for the sole purpose of reading these two short stories and even though I don’t usually buy anthologies, I’m glad I have my own copies of these!
First off, I’ll talk about Larissa Ione’s Eternity Embraced. Set in the Demonica world, Andrea and Kaden are both Aegi guardians but when Kaden is turned into a vampire, Andrea is forced to kill the man she loves. I loved the story and...more

The stories were numerous, so the reviews will be short. This wasn't a very impressive collection, but I enjoyed some of the stories. I did catch a spelling error, and I'm still wondering why there isn't a period after every Mr. Mrs. and St.
Paris After Dark by Jordan Summers - 3.5
This one was all right. I liked how the couple weren't immediately labeled as soulmates, (they had only known each other for a few days FFS) and it was nice to read about a heroine who wasn't a young, incompetent WASP....more

I did enjoy this book, it was nice to have a mass of different stories to read within one book, by several different authors.
The stories were great and varied and surprisingly I found myself wanting to read it a second time, which doesn't usually happen to book with several different stories by varied authors.
If you get a chance to check this out, I would suggest that you do - I do enjoy a good vampire romance!!

This review is only for Larissa Ione's short: Eternity Embraced
This short visits an Aegi guardian, Andrea, as she faced the task to kill his lover, Kaden, who has been turned into vampire. Since it is short, I feel it lacks the twist and turns that Larissa Ione has on her longer Demonica books. Plus, they are not part of the New York cell, so I miss the old players. The story is still enjoyable, though.

'The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2' contains 25 unrelated short stories that are generally well written. While each story contained an element of romance and hint of happy ever after, it was hard for me to get emotionally involved in 30 or so pages. Although I breezed through the almost 600 page book quickly, I wouldn't recommend it unless you enjoy short stories.
Devon Monk's story is good. She used her personal love of knitting to good advantage in her story. I could feel the character's yearning to explore the yarn as strongly as her attraction to the man (vampire).
Ann Aguirre's story was very good, not too short. I could have done without the very last twist though, the story was stronger without it.
