I've been wavering all day about my rating for this book.

On the one hand, I really enjoyed it. It was sweet, it was VERY hot, and I enjoyed the characters.

On the other hand, there were some niggles I keep having about the story, so I am wavering between 3 and 4 stars.

My niggles- First off, was the heroine, Jenny's thinking to herself about how she really needs to get laid, only later to think to herself that she never got what all the fuss about sex was, she'd never had really great sex. Why do

There was just something I really loved about this book. It was sweet and after I had finished reading it, I just felt happy!

It could have been longer in all honesty, and the issues involved explored more deeply and I would have happily read it. But, it left me with such a lovely warm feeling after reading it, it is hard to fault that.

It had some great side characters, with some humorous moments. It did include a scene some ppl may find difficult to read (view spoiler)

What a wonderful book! I loved this sweet story. Will was awesome. Overcoming a terrible childhood but still lacking in social interactions. Jenny helps him overcome his shyness and insecurity. But he is also possessive, protective and sweet.

What kept this from being a five star? At times the story dragged a little. Not a lot, but sometimes scenes were too drawn out and I wanted to move on to the next one. The sex scenes were hot, but I almost felt they too were too drawn out. But I was happy w

eh...well..no I didn't like it that much..it started out good. Oh well.... apart from the fact that the word c*ck,length and erection was mentioned a little to often right from the beginning..

I like the idea of Will seeing her from his window and finally working up enough courage to actually go out to meet her, the sweet and shy man meeting the adorable and quite quirky girl...

The sweet, shy virgin! that never once told her she was his first everything..and he sure was a talent at many things O.o

Breaking the Silence from Katie Allen was such an incredible book for me. What first caught my eye was the fact that the hero, who is a bit socially inept, but an amazingly looking specimen of manhood, was a virgin. When it comes to virgin heroes, I am a big, big fan. Not only does Katie deliver a wonderful portrayal of man who is more assured working on his computer alone in his house than around people, but she has written a book that will hold your interest till the very last page.

This wasn't a perfect book but I enjoyed it 100 percent. The hero, Will, is a nerdy super shy virgin. And the hottest one ever. That was one of the problems but it was so minor. (view spoiler) He was so damaged by his early life. He was shy and sweet and just so head over heels for the heroine, Jenny. It was lovely to see him come out of his shell. 4.5Will stars!I absolutely loved Will. He is such a sweet , shy, hot, loving, loyal mysterious man! Jenny was awesome to but at times I found her and Christian alittle annoying.haha idk why. There were some triggers that were a little stressful to read about Very enjoyable read(mainly will) lol.

Adorkable virgin hero finally gets the nerve to talk to curvy sweet heroine and a friendship blossoms into a serious relationship but darkness is just around the corner in the form of a jealous, vindictive coworker, Evan.

Now I'm rather wishy-washy about this rating. Something between 2.5 & 3.0. I really love socially awkward, adorkable heroes but I have say that Will was almost too adorkably sweet and the virgin aspect is more like a red herring than anything else. Jenny is fine as a heroine

Not quite sure why this book is so popular amongst my friends. There was almost no plot of which to speak. The characters meet have sex, sex, and more sex. They don't really get to know each other. The story takes place in a very short amount of time. Will is this gorgeous, muscular Viking kinda hermit who's 28 and a virgin. I really didn't buy the reason why he was a virgin for so long. Now if he were a troll and a butterface, then yeah maybe.

Jenny was so unrealistic and one dimensional. One th

I have a soft spot for a tortured hero. I can't help it. There is nothing that melts my butter any quicker than a big strong ox of a man with issues and a shy, sensitive side. And that describes our protagonist to a T. William is a quiet computer programmer who moved around his whole life, but he's finally settled into a beautiful house in icy Minnesota. He works from home, doesn't leave the house much, and has no social life to speak of. The best part of his day is looking out of his window to ...more

Will is a computer programmer who is extremely shy and introverted, due in part to a hard childhood in foster care. He sees a woman walking behind his home with her dog daily, and thinks she is beautiful. He finally works up his courage to talk to her. When he meets Jenny, she is as fun and appealing as he'd hope she'd be. They begin to date. But then a weirdo from Jenny's work is getting angry because he sees her with Will. Evan previously pursued Jenny, but she turned him down. In his anger, h ...more

Really good story. It started out kind of slow until the couple finally meet. An awkward big handsome man of few words sets out to meet the girl he’s been watching from his window. Our cute sweet unattached girl is funny and light hearted. And, when our hero comes out to meet her on the path the story comes to life.

Okay, I liked SOME parts...like Christian :) He was cool. Are we going to get his story?

I actually didn't like Jenny at all. It felt like she was trying too hard. I don't know. She was "off" to me.

I didn't like how Will didn't tell Jenny that he was a virgin. I didn't like that the sex while great was unbelievable considering he was a virgin.

Why didn't Will "break his silence" and tell Jenny was going on with him? (view spoiler)

Easily 4- 4.25 stars for me. I love Will-strong silent type-man of few words. He was so great with Jenny. Wow, talk about sole mates. I felt their chemistry and noticed how compatible they are. I'm full of cliches' but her goes: they bring the best of of each other. Jenny and Will are both single for quite a while when they meet. Jenny is more outgoing and Will is almost a recluse. Katie Allen did a wonderful job of telling the (very lifelike) story of Will & Jenny. I had this book on my Wis ...more

Everyone has their own way to deal with pain (mental and physical) some scream and freak out, while some bury it inside to ignore and try to forget about past hurts. William Jackson is a bury the pain type of person, he hides from society so that it can't hurt him anymore.
Jenny Fitzgerald walks her dog Rosie most days past Will's purple house. She doesn't think much about her walks, but Will looks forward everyday to seeing her pass by, it makes or breaks his mood for the day. He is more then a

4.5 stars. Oh this book, WOW! I am speechless, happy, sad, laughing. It was so unique finding a Man who was virgin at the age of 27 years old, a hermit, a loner, and shy even though he was falling for a woman that he watch out his window, while she takes her dog for the walk. Oh, I have to keep saying unique, how he felt towards her; A man with little words, but with one look you could read him like a book. A man who would give her his life in a split second. Jenny was a spunky kind a girl who w ...more

It was ok. I didn't really like Jenny. She talked way too much. I get that she had to make up for Will hardly talking but come on... Do you need to fill every second with chatter? I don't think so.

I think I liked Will only because he was a virgin but HE NEVER TOLD HER! How can you love someone who never talks? I can understand being shy but I would think the more you got to know someone the more you would open up. He never really talked until the last 25% of the book! I also don' think a virgin

This book was a really big surprise to me. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. I'm not sure how I even came to find it. Unknown author with a story that was intriguing right from the start and just got better as it went along. I really loved this book, this story. I read it some time ago and it's really stuck with me. I only have one question; how was it this guy was soooo good in the sack when he was a virgin? Apart from that nagging question, a very good read and I highly recommend ...more

Damn, i really loved William. A nordic god, tall and bulky, sweet, shy and virginal with a broken past.

Just.... argh, i loved bits so much. But there was not enough dialogue. There could have been so much more done with the story, would have liked to have seen more about Williams past... meet the parents... little heartbreak, and damn, i wanted to see her reaction when he told her he was a virgin. But... he never did :( There wasn't a plot, and the characters got together over what seemed like 3

This was an okay read. It would have been better if it were longer. The only connection they seemed to have was physical and they confused lust with love. They never really learned anything about each other. Their conversation was what one would have with an acquaintance.

Possible spoilers below

It was a short read and by the end they were living together and engaged. This is fiction so of course they get their happily ever after but in real life this would just be classed as stupidity and they

First Thoughts:
I've recently begun re-reading books that I'd initially given four stars to as my taste in books has changed. I had read this book almost four years ago and I suppose I haven't changed too much because I still enjoyed reading it. I couldn't remember a single plot aspect so it was almost as if reading it for the first time. I must say that I was quite surprised that I'd given four stars to an erotica because it typically lacks areas of plot or even the right length of a book that I

Breaking the Silence by Katie Allen - William Jackson is a computer programmer, and he works at home, which is how he likes it. His quiet, thoughtful, and wants his peace and quiet. Each day, he watches a stunning young woman and her dog walk by his house. Will is so shy, he's afraid to approach the woman, but realizes that he's being ridiculous and he may be wasting his chance at a really good thing. Jenny Fitzgerald is not looking for love.
