Fans of erotic romance featuring hot military guys
This second short story from the "Out of Uniform" series was another ridiculously hot one, with almost as much steam as the previous one, "Heat of the Moment", where we first met the hero, Navy SEAL Carson Scott.
The story picks up a few months later with Carson now attending a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette party at a San Diego club for his good friends Garrett and Shelby. Seeing how deliriously in love Shelby and Garrett are gets Carson to thinking that maybe after 29 years and a lot of fooling...more

We first met Navy SEAL Carson Scott in book #1, Heat of the Moment. This story picks up six months afterwards, and Carson is attending John and Shelby's stag/bachelorette party at a nightclub. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars from me was because it was too short. I'm not typically one to deduct stars when I go in knowing it's a novella but here I have a reason which I'll get to later.

This was free for Kindle, so I downloaded it out of curiosity more than anything. I don't usually read contemporary romance--actually, I don't think I've ever read a contemporary, so this is my first. It's a very quick read, but Ms. Kennedy managed to squeeze good characterization and a believable budding romance into this novella. In some ways I preferred Heat of passion to the first book in the series, Heat of the moment, it had a better storyline and better characters but it was nowhere near as hot.
There was more depth to this book the characters had real issues to struggle with and overcome. It was a sweet and short romance which had a lot more than sex in it.

This was a great book. This was Carson & Holly's story. Very good. Very quick read. This funny and entertaining story takes place during Holly & Garrett's wedding. This is not the kind of thing I normally read. I got it for Kindle because it was free. It was kind of billed as an erotic novel and it is too some extent. It has quite a lot of sex in it. It's really very much a romance, though, and that's OK but just not typically my cup of tea.
The book was well written and the sex scenes were pretty steamy. The book is really a novella, and includes excerpts from several other novels in the same vein.

I effing hated this book! The characters are so juvenile and immature. The only reason I forced myself to continue reading this whole joke—which only fueled my anger—was because I had hoped they would grow and mature. Not sure if I have read this author before but I liked it. Even though I gave this book 5 stars the story wasn't brilliant it was simple but a lovable little story between Holly and Carson. Now the sex was very steamily hot in his book. Holly met Carson during a one night stand and neither forgot about it, the book is basically Carson per suing Holly he wants a serious relationship but she doesn't. It's a quick short fun lovable read full of good hot sex.

This was a quick fun story. I loved seeing the events from the previous story affect Carson, and to see him fall for his mystery girl. I always love it when the girl pushes for casual when the guy wants more and that is just what Holly did. I was surprised that Carson didn't take Holly up on the offer, but it worked out to his advantage in the end. I was glad to see that Carson finally made her family quit taking advantage of her. The ending was cute and just what both of them needed.

A short read about a Navy SEAL at a bachelor party. He meets Holly and they feel an instant attraction. They end up in a supply closet but do not get each other's names. Then at the wedding, Carson sees Holly working as one of the caterers. Then Carson falls for her but Holly does not want to commit. Holly's family is very demanding of her time and her last boyfriend broke up with her because of it. So when Carson starts saying the same things, she thinks they should not be together.
I normally like more story with my steamy stuff, but I gave this and book one a try because the first was free and this was a buck. There's not terribly much in the way of story to get in the way of the steamy stuff, but I liked the idea of the former man-ho who sees his friends happy wedded and want something more in the relationship department than his usual one night stands - although the woman he wants more from wants to keep it to just a physical no strings deal.
