This book would be great for classroom use. It demonstrates many different types of maps, their contents, and uses. There are many things to look for and at. A simple story is intertwined in the teaching of map skills.
Great concept and I loved sharing this one-on-one with my son, but it was hard to get behind the story of finding the animals- that didn't really work for me in the context of the book. Seemed like too much of a stretch.
This book is a must have for any elementary classroom. It have interactive pages of mapping skills and vocabulary. I could use this in geography lessons and get ideas from it for activities.
a must have for the classroom. Really simplifies map knowledge and leads to many great activities. Use to introduce map topic and then leave out on shelf!
I enjoy books that have maps, this book is fun and I believe kids will enjoy this read. I liked it but not enough to read it twice.
Easy to read and fun ideas for the students to read and learn how to follow a map and use a legend. Good social studies book.
Probably a great book for the classroom, but it didn't hold my interest. Of course, I am hardly the target audience.
Great for teaching beginning mapping skills, even shows how to make your own map on the last page.
This book helped me to learn about maps. I like it!
