Sara's just run out of time. A genetic heart defect is about to make mincemeat of her, before she can finish the homeless shelter she's set her defective on. Only when the ultimate bad boy, Death, comes to take her away he has second thoughts. Quite naughty ones.

Ms Troutte does a great job of showing these characters, their hopes and fears and passions. Sara is sweet but feisty and Death, actually Cain paying his dues for killing Abel, is a very sexy tortured hero. ( I love me a tortured hero)
When a heart defect brings Sara next in line for the Pearly Gates, the task falls to Cain to collect her soul. But when Sara begs for more time, just enough to open the homeless shelter she's dedicated her life to, Cain finds himself faced with a bargain he can't refuse.

This is a story of Cain. On a personal note, Cain is the one Biblical character that draws out my sympathy more than any other so I was more than pleasantly surprised to discover he was at the center of this emotional story. Soul

I don't know which I enjoyed more... the comical humor or the sexy romance. All I know, is I picked it up and didn't put it down until I was done. Yes... I even carried into the bathroom with me.

What happens when you fall in love with the biggest bad boy of all – Death himself?

Sara Lane always knew she wouldn’t have a long life. Death will knock on her door before she even reaches her prime. Thinking she has reconciled to this notion, Sara is however unprepared to go when he comes knocking. She is right in the middle of putting up a shelter for the homeless, and all she needs is two more weeks.

A deal with Death is the best thing she can think of, especially when she finds him eyeing he
