This is the first reader in the first grade book for Veritas Press Phonics Museum. I think it may be my 5 year old's favorite one so far. She liked the art (with a nod toward Henri Matisse which led to a fun art project) but she found it to just be a fun book.

Brief fun facts about Ella Fitzgerald in the book utilizing all the phonics rules/sounds she has learned thus far. There is brief synopsis of Ella Fitzgerald's life on the back which we read before the book. Great intro to whet the appetite
