Blue Valley (referred to as the Blue Book in the 3-book series Colours of Columbia Series) is subtitled An Ecological Memoir, but as I read -- and enjoyed reading -- this book, I thought of it more as Luanne’s personal memoir, despite her many references to the environment. To me, the story was far more about family, home, and a love of place.
